james blake is brilliant. when he remixes a tune, he REALLY remixes it, to the point where it's completely distinct and sounds like a brand new tune. Many other producers change so little when remixing that you don't even realise it's meant to be a remix until you read the label. Although I appreciate both approaches (sometimes you don't want a remix to sound too different from the original), I especially appreciate james blake's approach to remixing and how he can improve on the original.
