The hummer has its own frame and not an escalade frame. its fully boxed and is the girth of the 2500 and 3500 chevy truck frames. It does use a heavy duty chevy drivetrain. Its tried and true and nothing is wrong with it. stop bitching because you dont have a need for one. How else can I carry clients around and tow my boat and fit in my garage. Only the 2500 suburban would work. nothing else.

They have taken frame and suspension components from the Tahoe and Suburban (using existing parts and components keeps the price down), but they've put them together in a unique manner to produce an entire new frame and suspension system. The frame is welded together to give it strength and stiffness. It's also been chopped off to achieve better approach and departure angles

Because they can't afford them. Most Hummers are bought by people who put lots of chrome on those and make them low-riders. This all is against the original idea of a off road car so people think that only jackasses drive them. Also Hummer's off road front makes it deadly for other vehicles and pedestrians. When noobs drive these, they kill people and people don't like to be killed. So that's another reason.
