If you're a white kid growing up in a town where Martin Luther king was assassinated there's going to be some resentment toward white people from the black community. he alluded to that when he said there was a dark cloud that still kind of hangs over that city. I'm sure he's dealt with racism as a white kid growing up around black kids just as a black child would experience the same growing up around white kids.
