  • Dragon path is my path I am look for all dragon moves teacher or shofu to help my technique

  • I love watching these videos, they show how much attention to detail you need while doing martial arts. Really interesting.

  • Wow.......wow.

  • Very Nice but I wish they

would do it at normal speed

so that we know how it

    should look like.

  • It looks so silly, the guy he is attacking is just doing one punch and then he's like " I can't move"

  • this is not sholin or hung gar kuen this is hung style dragon nor any other of these video are sholin or hung gar animals....i know i take hung gar tiger and crane gung fu.

  • Too bad your a christian, other than that much respect.

  • hahahhhahaha i know how to do all dragon moves now im the best

  • my new name is young dragon in my kungfu class thanx to u

  • hey thanx to u in my kung fu class they call me young dragon

  • What does Christianity have anything to do with Kung Fu? I think these southern US bible thumpers just want to exclude non christians from their activities. Just like their KKK fathers excluded blacks from society.

  • @IuseAudi wow much bigotry in your comment? look if they want to have a christian martial arts then fine let them. there are a lot of buddhist kung fu schools out there do you rip them a new one? oh no but because these guys happen to have a association of fellow like minded Christians they must be trying to exclude someone... kkk is evil because they say they are the greatest. these guys are not saying muslims or buddhist are evil or worse at kung fu. Dont be a moron and go off half cocked.

  • christian martial arts? whats next jew-jutsu lol lol lol (im jew too)

  • This shit works better than prayer.

  • @TheTruthCo Amen!

  • There are more animal styles than the original FIVE. But from the five, other animal styles such as the leapard, horse (yes, horse), monkey (amazing style) have derived. There is even a cat's paw style.

  • okay this is my new favorite fighting style. i just love it

  • what about the eagle technique??????

  • BASS is right, the original "five animal fist" was the aforementioned animals, but all the ones mentioned by 'pigsrockmya' are decent fine upstanding styles. We have to remember that over a 3000 year unrecorded history, some things are just going to not add up. I have an authentic manual of the style of The Bear and The Cock. Bizarre.

  • What happened to the good old days when actual chinese people taught you kung fu?

  • This is bullshit. The five animals in kungfu are Tiger, Crane, Mantis, Monkey and Snake. Leopard and dragon ? Bullshit.

  • @pigsrockmyak47 Actually, and this is gonna make you feel really stupid, the five animals are Tiger, Leopard, Crane, Snake, and Dragon. Those five animal were sacred, and they originate from the Henan Shaolin Temple.

  • dragon rite type for me :D

  • Kung Fu means anything skill learned through practice or over time. Hammering in a nail is Kung Fu. Public speaking is Kung Fu. Frying an egg can be Kung Fu.

That said, Kung Fu San Soo has a lot of ground work in it. It is still Kung Fu even if it has groundwork.

  • Hello, I agree with your point very much so. In fact id take it one stage further and say that there is no such thing as a kung fu fighting style. The phrase and use has been contaminated since it was introduced to westerners 70 years ago or whenever it was. (MORE CONTINUED...)

  • Martial arts is not about a system or style, it's about expressing yourself through the art; if that means adopting groundwork as well, then so be it. Don't get so caught up in your "style."

  • very uncomfortable position for the opponent AND yourself haha

  • christian martial arts huh....nice attempt at brainwashing kids into christianity by luring them in with a martial art mish mash of all kinds of bullshit clichee moves of all kinds of styles.

    pathetic

  • Ok man you obviously have nothing better to do than copy and paste this message on all of his videos. It is tru his kung fu is not traditional, the only thing he said religious related was his title, which was the name of the group which expert villiage hired to make these videos. and honestly, he has the right idea of his techniques, there are a little different than the traditional style, but martial arts are for the students to make their own.

  • no ,,most parents that are already christian send the kids to this type of school

  • lol the guy just falls back

  • fake kung fu

  • bollocks

  • The Dragon Uses qi-na and Circular Movements similar to movements of Water. There is no Fluidity to your movements. Study Taijiquan learn to use Chi (Internal energy) this will not only enhance your animals but help you improve cirulation.

  • Where did he observe this dragon to learn its techniques? Last time i checked, they weren't real.

  • They are a Mastery of all four Animals in Kung Fu. Dragon Using Claws & Power of the Tiger, Speed and Deception of the leopard, Grace and Balance of the Crane, QI and Flexibilty of the Snake. So you see its not really an animal its a Mastery of all Four into one thus creating the Five Animals. At least that is what my Sifu Told me.

  • So either way this guy is still a jackass.

  • There was an item told of in the Book of Joel found in the Holy-Bible, which told of reasons to beat the pruning-hooks into spears and those plow-shares into swords. This is in response to the Nazarene being forced to consume of the product of the vine, in spite of, their vow to God not to. This is where when people are forced to follow the flesh instead of God, that authority does lose its legitimacy. That's an example of not putting a government before God, with God organizing these forces.

  • Hey Father Ted, that's irrelevant, you're a Bible basher.

  • "The opponent did not expect a strike after a step out..."

What does the opponent expect you to do? Make a cup of coffee and give you a biscuit?

  • That act of moving to behind a person, could've been for throwing. This act of throwing can be preparation for kicking, the person which is down.

  • Then he won't expect a throw neither will he now? And throwing transitions into groundwork. Have you seen a UFC fighter throw somebody down, only to get back up again and start kicking?

  • Plenty of things can go wrong, what I've seen is a person's head bounce off a concrete wall. There are times when these worst possible result will happen, such as greater aggression combined with the appearance of a weapon.

  • That is completely irrelevant to my original point. Your opponent will always expect you to strike, whether he can counter is a different story. Regardless, making such presumptions about your opponents and publishing them on the internet is stupid. And stop changing the subject.

  • The only method of making a movement work, is to practice making the item work. That only method to become skilled at fighting, is to actually fight.

Those people which do a ritualized practice, are practicing connecting a group of movements, which does increase speed. Practicing with other people, does allow the fine-tuning of movements. Would you define the specific environment which you are proclaiming, training for?

  • Wait what has this go to do with your opponent's expectations? Stop changing the subject you dolt.

  • Kung Fu isn't about groundwork. It is all about striking, blocking, and keeping constant motions. You will never see a Kung Fu master who has any respect for the art at all on the ground. I feel sorry you have to go off the bauched versions of martial arts on UFC.

  • So any Kung Fu master who practices groundwork disrespects the art? So all Ditangquan practitioners are disrespecting Kung Fu?

  • Would it work if the guy punched at an actual speed?

  • All prearranged movements breakdown when some item is changed from what is practiced, that is why variation in the practice environment is needed. An example of this is when Tai Chi practitioners like myself, at times do enjoy an outside class during nicer weather. That changing of the environment does create, difficulties with practice, which are learning experiences.

  • Variations in practice environment does not benefit reflex and reaction speed.

  • When the Earth is soft and the foot does grip-well, an ankle can become easily twisted. The reason for the importance, is environments with great traction can supply a set of difficulties, such as a person learning to avoid self-destruction. Learn to avoid self-inflicted injury, because a damaged ankle does not benefit reaction speed.

  • Oh so you're saying if I'm used to dodging slow motion punches in harsh environments, then I can apply that move to a fast punch in harsh environments?

  • That is correct, it's known as building a strong-foundation.

  • You my friend, are an idiot. The only thing that will prepare you for a fast punch, is being punched really fast. How many professional boxers do you see dodging slow motion punches at practice?

  • gr8 video, made me start kungfu

  • This Kenpo they only know the Skin of Each Beast they know neither the Meat nor the soul of the Five Animals. Its not a bad starting point but I do hope that they know only basics of the Five animals. This is not advanced techniques, my 1yrs are learning basic punches kicks and one technique of each animal. Basically the same as Kenpo stylist seem to only know.

  • Please dont group the rest of us in with this guy he makes me cringe his dragon is insulting and his tiger is worse and yes his moves are taught to 1st years 2nd at best
