  • I just checked, and Grizzly carries a Robert Sorby roughing gouge they say is 5/16 wide

  • Cap...Packard has a 1/2" spindle roughing gouge. 50 + 10 is too rich for my blood though.

  • Because I need the point of the center to support the piece between centers. The soft touch would not offer any support..
