  • Your facial expressions give my stumch the fluttery feeling. I saved right before the final boss of Zelda that way i could fall asleep to the music when i was 8 years old.

  • if my band teacher saw this, he wold say "keep your flute level!"

    anyway, this is AMAZING

  • how do you combine your videos together :D ?

  • you are good!! :))) im a flute player! :) do you have the notes or did you do them by ear??

  • may you message me the the note for the flute please for Song of Storms??! <3

  • look is face , very crazy!!!

  • Oh my god. You are so skilled~ <333

  • At 00:18 a bird comes and takes her away to kariko village.

  • I love your tone quality! It's so beautiful, and of course, perfect in these pieces :D Very nice ^^

  • OMFG i love this song, song of storm is my favorite piece of work and u seem as though u made it! damn so goooooood ily..

  • So Sweet *-*

  • Loved the picture at @1:18

  • Song of Storms not Time, AHHHHHHH

  • the picture at 1:18 made me laugh. & i LOVE this

  • Am I the only one who doesn't like it? I mean, the tone is great and it was fine up until the piccolo came in...

The two parts did not agree with each other. It just didn't flow very smoothly

The playing and sound quality is great of course, but compositionally I don't think it's too great

  • where can i get the sheet music for this son on flute

  • i love the way you play =D , i'm gonna play piccolo for marchingband, is it hard to play??

  • @NewFluteGirl14 it's a bit difficult to get a good aperture, (spelling?)

this is from my experience, and you'll constantly go sharp so having a good ear and listening to your tuning as the elements change during marching band is important.

I personally am not a marching band fan, of course because I look forwards to the music, and most of the time, it seems everyone is out of tune. I know it's for the formations and stuff. But I'd rather hear it in a concert hall, just pure music :) no offense

  • @kutari okay :) thanks !

  • so goood.. regards, and nice to meet your sound.

  • this is off of legend of zelda a link to the past four swords ( i have it :)) and btw link to the past four swords is second loz game :)

  • @poptartmon Sorry but it's too hard to tell with Zelda. I respect your desicion for it to be second in line but I think most everyone is chronilogically confused. :D

  • good job!

  • i think iam in love *-*

  • Excuse me but if u dont mind me asking, what is the name of the little black flute u used in the beginning? By the way i really like the way u play!

  • @GoldenDasiy Umm.. it's called a Piccolo :xx and they're amazing, especially when someone like Nina Perlove is playing it! :DD

  • @Va465 I KNOW!! She plays so lovely, oh and thanks for telling me what that flute is called! Piccolo, i like the sound of that flute, i think i might wanna play it when im older! :D Thanks anyhow!

  • are the fingering of a flute same as a piccolo?

  • @fattyman149 yeah but piccolo is an octave up so its way better

  • @fattyman149 yep, fingerings are the same, only obvious differnece is the length! :)

  • @fattyman149 Yes they are :) I play both :D The only thing is the piccolo has no lower body part. You know, the part with the lower C key. And piccolo requires a very small embouchure.

  • @fattyman149

Yes, they are the same for the most part.

In the third octave there are a few differences, mostly to keep the picc in tune.

  • @fattyman149 Yes

  • @fattyman149 yes they are, pretty much. The positioning of your lips just changes and so does the air flow.

  • Do you have flute notes, if you do please post

  • awesome and inspirational!

Greetings & hugs from Colombia Nina!!

  • from the sky to the ground

    rain is all pouring down

  • Where did you get the notes?

  • Damn, such a warm tone.

  • Wow, I bet you're an awesome sauce teacher.

  • Wow, what an amazingly low, warm, rich tone you and your flute has!

  • Have you ever considered the Final Fantasy soundtrack I'm sure there are a ton of songs that would be perfect for you.

  • wow Nina, you did such an amazing job playing the flute and the piccolo in this video! :) Do you offer private lessons for piccolo too? :)

  • @chunkklown yes, I do.

  • I've watch several of your videos for Zelda and you are an AMAZING player! :) How many years have you been playing Flute? What model of Flute do you currently play? Did you happen to Major in music? you have a very lovely sound :)!

  • what you are playing is the song of storms, played beautifully.

  • NOW I REALLY LOVE YOU!!!! =D I'm about to cry a lil...

  • That is soooo pretty. I am a BIG Zelda fan.

  • Love it :) ThU

  • EXCELLENT! AWESOME! THE BEST I HAVE SEEN ON YOUTUBE!!! You are great! Awesome!

  • Love your sound! Awesome, I'm a huge zelda fan! What kind of flute is it? I play on an altus. :)

  • So Amazing and Beautiful!

  • Your my hero Nina because of you i wanna be president someday

  • Interesting choice to place Saria's song as a background piece to the other. Your technique is obviously fabulous, but as a videogame connoisseur (nerd) I must point out that the Lost Woods theme,

  • which is a variation of Saria's Song is played by dancing whistling elf-like creatures playing primitive whistle type instruments, and as such requires a very frolicking dance-like rhythm in the playing.

  • (read last) I thought your Link to the Past piccolo opening and Song of Storms rendition was fantastic though. I know the other tune appears extremely simplistic, on the face of it, but the rhythmic subtleties can really be quite fun to bring out. I did enjoy the medley though. Thanks

  • Play more Zelda, we all love your renditions. Become the Ben Chan of flute.

  • Me likey! The picture at 1:12 was an epic win. :D

Did you arrange this your self?

  • That is a beautiful flute!

  • nerves could talk about a video?

  • Omg, you played the piccolo so well. I can't get the piccolo to play ever well, I am very envies of you. I just love your tone, I hope I can sound as good as you. I need to go practice more...

  • so awesome it sounds just like the game

  • Title spelling?

  • @astrotaz1 oops, and thanks!

  • @ninaflute Really love all your posts.

  • sheet music?...? possibly

  • "Song of Storms" was wonderful!

Keep up the great work. It's so nice to have these vids to keep me company until I start learning myself. Although I'll certainly continue watching as I learn also.

    You're wonderful!

  • The two greatest things, Zelda and Flute in one video.

    Awesome. I love it!! Thanks.

  • Excellent! Now all Nina has to do is whip out a transverse ocarina and start playing it and I'll officially be impressed. ^^

  • So awesome! :D Yay~

  • I love you!!!! Most flutists that I know are clueless when it comes to video games!!!! But this is just awesome!!!!

  • You were already a great flute player.

Now you're playing Legend of Zelda.

You are officially the best. ^^

  • Oh so beautiful

  • atfirst it dint sound like it went together but it does

  • oH i LOVE IT

  • oh my gosh, your tone makes my heart melt!! <3

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo xD I LOVES this one 8D

  • Always knew you had a split personality.

  • 1:24 nice one! xD

  • You have just made my day! This has been my favorite video game since it came out! And the fact that you are playing this song on your flute just makes me happy!

  • Nice. But tell the truth...you're a video game geek aren't you?! :-)

  • The song of storms with the layering was very strange... I cant say i was a fan of it.

However you played the piccolo part very well. It was such a nice sound O___o

  • I love you nina!

  • I love this! Brings back memories.

  • Yay! More Zelda music! And Nina playing PICCOLO! You don't see that too often. :] Great job!
