Not so with alot of wrestlers.I like a ton of bad guys like Terry Funk, but he never went to the extreme like Flair would and be as dirty.Plus I never had any respect for Flair or Arn as wrestlers because they were jerks.I even liked Larry Zbyszko as a bad guy over any of The Horsemen And Ernie Ladd was a huge favorite bad guy I liked too.Same with Dick Slater. And Bad Leroy Brown, and Ron Bass.My favorite overall as a bad guy was always Superstar Graham. But I like Billy because of other reasons.
I hated each and every one of them on an individual basis also, not just as a group.Except for Sting and Luger and Ole,other than them I hated all of them period. And I'm not just going by how they were in the ring but on the outside, they were all assholes as well.Arn and Flair were pricks all of the time. There was never anything at all to like about them anyway.
sounds like alot of bull to me.he was always ranting so what else is new? I never liked him or any of the original Horsemen, except for Luger and Sting and Ole.The rest were all dirty S.O.B.S. including Flair.Yes I said Flair he was always dirty.
dirtiest player in the game... and reveled in every moment of it.
the horsemen worked because they were heels who actually won clean because they were that good; it's a concept no one would touch now days. sure one guy here and there, but a whole stable? never.
I don't believe it. A great in ring worker, as you can hear he can deliver a promo. When he spoke you listened. And he backed it up every time he got in the ring. And no World Title. Yes I do see a problem with that.
Actually, Arn held the NWA World TV Title - I believe he was the longest reigning champion. But seriously, Arn's career was inextricably tied to that of Ric Flair, who was the perrenial World Champ. They even made that into a storyline toward the end of Arn's career
Arn Anderson was one of the best wrestlers in the ring and on the mic. My favorite line from him was probably " You get in the ring with me and I offer a lifetime gurantee of bodily injuries!" He had so many others though. Classic
Arn was MONEY on the mic. The thing is, he lived his promo. People always wanna give the Crockett's credit...bull. It was the WRESTLERS that made the NWA. They had a great stable of dedicated, professional, talented wrestlers and talkers. People always compare the WWF to the NWA...I don't. I enjoyed them both for what they were. They both contributed to the rise of wrestling in the mainstream
FYI the Horsemen won that match against the Road Warrors, Dusty Rhodes and Nikita Koloff, when Lex Luger had Nikita Koloff Submit to his torture rack. The Horseman DOMINATED that match, and in particular, Lex Luger doiminated Nikita Koloff, just like he did in all their matches be it single, tahe team, 6 men tag or 8 men tag or war games, Luger ALWAYS dominated the Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff both in 1987 and 1991. Koloff has no wins over Luger, Luger has 44 victories overall against Koloff
@xhemexx 44-0 against Nikita Koloff! I never would have guessed that! I knew Luger dominated Steamboat, which was a surprise but I never noticed that Luger dominated Nikita Koloff. Honestly both Steamboat and Koloff deserved better but at the time Luger had the best body in the business and looked to be the future of pro-wrestling so it's understandable. Nonetheless, the other two guys are legends in their own right.
The ENFORCER!

I just did a Search for an Arn Anderson promo to see what he was about.
I have to say that was awesome, even though I don't know the full details of the angle.

my fave Arn line of all time (after laying waste to Manny Fernandez on nwa tv): 'If THAT'S a Raging Bull, then I'm a dinosaur"

Back in those days whenever Arn was about to speak my eyes and ears were glued to the tv. No one made it seem more believable than AA.

THIS is how to deliver a promo & do an interview. Arn still works for WWE, so why doesn't he teach its performers how to do it right?
speedbuggy 9 months ago 3
You think this guy needs a script?? Arn's one of THE best on the mic & ring.
