I think United Abominations is a great album considering everything. Granted nothing as amazing as peace sells / rust in peace, but those are the golden age, and most musicians are extremely talented to even get close to that again. He stuck to his roots, even if he strayed a bit in the late 90s. Look at metallica, St anger? Death Magnetic?
I'm not sure what the meaning of that comment is, but to make my point clear. Megadeth strayed from the great thrash recipe with risk and to some extent cryptic writings, but the backlash from the fans led them to return more to their roots.

cus the bass could make the beat that's good even better if the bass is played sloppy the song wouldn't sound good. that goes for any instrument really. rob has a sloppy style. jason and cliff straight head bang yeah rob jumps around and i just don't like it.

The backing vocals for the remake of A Tout Le Monde don't really make sense to me because it's such a personal song and its written from the first person perspective and I don't get having 2 people sing from the same perspective.
I didn't like it as much either. Christina has a beautiful voice but the song is phenomenally better with only Dave's voice. I'll still listen to it but if I were going to make a megadeth mix cd, I'd include the original, not the U.A. version.

I know what you mean about Deans, i have a dean guitar and some of the bits on the guitar are clearly made out of cheap materials to save money. I once had an esp/ltd ec-100 and the esp/ltd was much nicer in every way apart from the intonation other than that it was much nicer. Thats why i'm gonna get me a V-500 when they come back in stock where i live.
my personal preference is for ibanez guitars i found the RG 350 is good value for money but saying that i have an EDR470 or somthing like that n ive had 1001 problems with it. I was atualy amazed with westfeild guitars i got an SG copy for £120 n found it realy playable n all it needs realy is better pick-ups. i think that a lot of guitars buy any manufacture are very hit n miss even high priced guitars

IMO the only diffrence between megadeth and metallica is the song message. Megadeth is very often political(many liberal messages)and metallica isnt. if anything james leans towards republican (if thats possible in hollywood)but he doesnt pack his songs full of political messages.
actually, cliff had the best knowledge of music theory in metallica, dave had the most advanced and creative technique/playing style, and james is a mix of both cause he learned so much from them.

i think united abominations was a pretty good album, its just something i wouldn't really listen to on a regular basis. i sort of prefer their older albums in the 80's such as killing is my bussiness,peace sells,rust in peace,etc. but over all united abominations was pretty good. like the art work in it

Yes, I can tell you definitely, that they are good. One thing you must not forget though, is they're not very comfortable to sit with, when playing at home. But you'll get used to this. And you'll like it, if you want a "heavy" guitar.

The neck through King Vs are generally good. The bolt on neck models tend to have cheper parts. Apparently Mustaine quit Jackson becasue they cut endorsers back to one guitar a year.
I play a jackson and to be perfectly honest with i don't see much of a difference in the quality of them. As much as i hate fender i think it's a good thing that fender took over since fender does have a decent record of inspecting their product before it's shipped out. I'd choose jackson over any brand anyday.

if your into sweet picking and tapping go with the sliver or black because the fret baords are bigger i dont know why but they are however if you like angle of death guitar or gears of war guitar go for them. im getting an angle of death!!!!

IMO the only diffrence between megadeth and metallica is the song message. Megadeth is very often political(many liberal messages)and metallica isnt. if anything james leans towards republican (if thats possible in hollywood)but he doesnt pack his songs full of political messages.

i think united abominations was a pretty good album, its just something i wouldn't really listen to on a regular basis. i sort of prefer their older albums in the 80's such as killing is my bussiness,peace sells,rust in peace,etc. but over all united abominations was pretty good. like the art work in it

Yes, I can tell you definitely, that they are good. One thing you must not forget though, is they're not very comfortable to sit with, when playing at home. But you'll get used to this. And you'll like it, if you want a "heavy" guitar.

eguitarboy : People say Jackson aren't as good since Fender took over - higher prices and poorer quality are blamed.
Also bear in mind, that regardless of what a manufacturer tells you, the guitar an endorser plays isn't always the same as the production version of their sig guitar.
The neck through King Vs are generally good. The bolt on neck models tend to have cheper parts. Apparently Mustaine quit Jackson becasue they cut endorsers back to one guitar a year.

I play a jackson and to be perfectly honest with i don't see much of a difference in the quality of them. As much as i hate fender i think it's a good thing that fender took over since fender does have a decent record of inspecting their product before it's shipped out. I'd choose jackson over any brand anyday.

I love Metallica but i think its pretty clear that the other 3 guys should just leave the entire writing process to Hetfield, in the same way that Dave has always kept his control over Megadeth. I think the great thing about megadeth is that they never crapped out like metallica. Dave has admitted risk was a fluke. But metallica will always use "experiment" when they release a turd and not take the blame of how awful it is. That new Megadeth record is NO JOKE with the playing. And if you saw metallica on that live earth thing, that was so pathetic and it's over for them. I love old school metallica for life, but these days, Long Live Megadeth.
