  • I miss Hitchens.

  • I often get comments from religious believers and it is always the same thing. "You need to open your mind and heart and accept your savior, yada, yada, yada...". As a survivor of an extremely dysfunctional home, I can attest to the fact that gods do not answer prayers, and a god who waits until it is too late to answer a child's prayer because it isn't on his timetable is a vicious sadist.

  • It is always sad to see religious nutbags proclaim their misconceptions about atheism. Their filthy man made gods have no power over the freethinking mind.

Religion breeds self deception, and as hitch put it "A wish to be a slave".

  • Whew, a lot of hatred on this page...... Mostly by annoyed Atheists I see.... WOW... in any case, all this arguing on youtube about GOD's existence has distracted ALL of US, from the real truth... Which is to love, care, help, look out for, guide for one another, AS is said in THE BIBLE!! We are our brothers keeper, we should strive to care for everyone!... we are not accomplishing that here that is for sure. All in all.... Everyone here arguing about GOD, GROW UP!!! Get lives, oooh and live it too!

  • @midnitespider You talk about ''the real thruth'' and in the same sentence seem to discourage discussing the existence of a god. And if you find love, caring for and helping others in the bible, and disregard all the nasty, sick and twisted passages in there, then you're simply projecting your own morals onto your magic book by picking and choosing what you yourself approve of, common ''buffet'' Christianity.

  • @Kawa856 You do find all of those things/emotions in the bible. I don't discourage discussing God's existence, I don't see the point in name calling, using racial slurs, etc to prove such. Common "buffet" Christianity? hmm nope, I disregard nothing. I project no morals of my own onto the bible, what's there is there. Understanding what, who, when, where and why is KEY. You/We/I will never understand everything only what we are to find out!.

  • @midnitespider If you believe in the bible as a whole then you are a psychopath, you´d be keeping slaves and murdering people for working on the sabbath. I do agree however that there is no point in name calling or racial slurs, however there is a great importance in breaking with the tradition of affording religion unwarranted/undeserved respect. Ridiculous ideas deserve harsh criticism.

  • @Kawa856 You can, quote the story of Abraham,Jeptha's daughter, etc.People tend to just read and not look/research and act like OH!! that's terrible,God's sadistic, evil, disgusting, and then they go to people of history, hitler, and the like and say things like that to prove there point. There are many proofs of God/Creator, we aren't just born to die, We all have a purpose, meaning in life. If you believe or may believe this, well that's just SAD.... Meaning and purpose yes! live just to die? no way!

  • @midnitespider That´s very cute, but you can´t choose your own reality. Like... i would like to be able to fly, but that doesn´t mean i can. Also you say there is proof for a god/creator, yet you mention none. Meaning and purpose is what we ourselves ascribe to, not something your imaginary dictator friend says.

  • @Kawa856 You can choose your own reality you're doing it,I'm doing it.You're choosing to live the way you want, and that's great and that's also the reality you're choosing to live. Being able to fly, that's more of a fantasy in the context you used. There is not much sense in trying to prove something you have such a dislike for its just not going to work in any way. It's not my issue for me to deal with that's yours and clearly that's the way it's meant to be, of course you still have time.

  • @midnitespider: Seems like you've never read the Old Testament.

  • @chinopisces cryptic

  • @midnitespider: Too cryptic for you, obviously. But if you actually read it, you'll realize that the god of the Old Testament is an asshole.

  • theetrue con't

What I don't understand though, when you threw your christard hissy-fit (guided of course by the holy ass-cloud of your serial baby murderer for a god) why you didn't realize your god's perfect plan involves you being unable to convince any1 to lobotomize their mind & telepathically accept your invisible wood carving bastard as their savior.

Poor old god of the bible, to go from being able to conjure up billions of hydrogen fusion reactors to being represented by the likes of you.

  • I try not to debate theists because I don't want to be cruel and beat dead horses.

  • in pythonesqe, four yorkshire men style. you can try telling the truth to the religitards but thel never believe ya.

  • The Bible is the same as a week old TV guide in the sense there is no use for it. END OF STORY!

  • Sorry if I said anything to offend you; maybe you could

use some help? It's no shame; there are people

who are expert at helping people get their life together.

  • @theetrue Yes, they're called psychologists. You should go see one and have them exorcise the demons buzzing around in your head.

  • We have lost a great man and thinker. Imagine if everyone had a lil' bit of Hitch in them, we would not have all those imagenary friends and babbling about it but could go on with some important stuff instead like taking care of each other and our planet..

  • HAHA! Even the fucking Theists refer to themselves as sheeple. It's just plain disgusting at the way they think. It's almost as if they share a hive mind, all thinking the same thought, just like proper little mindless fucktwits they're trained to be, spewing out the same smashed apart arguments they've always used. It's impossible trying to have any sort of reasonable discussion with the "I'm right, you' wrong." mentality. So I won't. They make me laugh so hard I wanna squeeze their necks. :)

  • @TheCrimsonification Think about this ......If you make yourself a servant to God no one can make you a slave.

  • @rocksoli4 Troll. This is not a recruitment drive. You can't really expect to come to this channel and start regurgitaing that bullshit nonsense and think you'll be met with "Oh, golly gee fucking whiz! I can be a servant, not a slave!" Go ram yer Bibblit through that ridiculous cavity you call a head. Your god/s have no place here.

  • @TheCrimsonification So free speech means nothing to the "freethinker" whatever that means.

  • @rocksoli4 Free speech means nothing until it meets the criteria. Suck a banana.

  • @rocksoli4 @Theetrue Eat shit Thesit motherfucks. I don't need yer saving, I don't want yer saving....Just find a shallow pit and start rotting, ya cunt smelling knob goblins.

  • @TheCrimsonification

Your statement is telling; God's people are not looking

to 'squeeze' your neck; God's people are looking to save

your neck; I thought the same as you before being saved.

  • @theetrue I'll say the same to you as rocksoli4. Fuck off and shit. I don't need your saving. Take your fucktard god and shove it in the deepest darkest corner of your ass. Religion is a fucking cancer, Atheism is the cure. Save yourself.

  • @TheCrimsonification

Dude you should take your message with your channel icon

and post it in as many places as possible, aside from the

good news of Christ, this is something the world needs to see.

  • @theetrue Go fuck yer anus crevise in ways that would make Jesus blush. :)

  • @theetrue We don't need you people to save our necks. We don't WANT you yo save our necks. We just want you to shut the fuck up and slowly fade the fuck away. You're just another religious bloody troll that thinks you can make a difference by mindlessly droning out your Bibblit philosophies. They don't amount to a hill of vermin shit to me. So you can wrap it up in a nice little bundle and fuck yourself in the ass with it. You're just another babbling soapbox idiot.

  • @TheCrimsonification

Dude, you are toxic; I am immune to

the vitriol; you are the one who will suffer.

  • @theetrue OOOOOOOHHHH!!

  • @TheCrimsonification

Sorry if I said anything to offend you; maybe you could

use some help? It's no shame; there are people

who are expert at helping people get their life together.

  • @theetrue I don't need help. All I need is a world without you dumbfuck asslicking shit disturbers. Go find a cliff to jump off, asswipe.

  • @theetrue Why will I suffer? Because yer Bibblit says so? Eat shit turdfucker.

  • @theetrue All name calling aside, your threat, and it is a threat, of being punished for not worshiping god, that clearly doesn't deserve it, is sad. Any god that would punish people like that, is clearly not a loving god. He is a vindictive egomaniac. And even if he were real, and there is absolutely no good reason to think he is, he is one twisted and evil mofo.

Keep your evil, imaginary god to yourself. I deserve better. We all deserve better.

  • @village1diot

I'm sorry, I must have missed something, when

and where was it you are claiming I threatened you?

  • @theetrue Perhaps the part where you tell us unbelievers what will happen to us if we don't belong to your imaginary friend's fanclub. An empty threat with no ground or validity within the real world, but a threat, nevertheless. It's pretty pathetic to see how you religious folks seek to convert instead of convincing.

  • @hellhammerz666

Since when is referring to the Bible construed

a threat? Best thing that ever happened to you.

  • @theetrue Hell is a threat, one you have no grounds for making and not only is it a blatant lie (however sincerely you might believe it), but it makes you nothing more than a bully making empty threats through your postulated imaginary friend.

Keep your desert myths to yourself.

  • @Kawa856

    Hell's a lie? Prove it's a lie.

  • @theetrue You're shifting the burden of proof, the person making the claim has to demonstrate or provide evidence. Would you respond the same way if i said the claims about bigfoot were true?

  • @Kawa856 If i said they were *false* obviously.

  • @theetrue you obviously are stupid....even if your beliefs are realistic...you are allready in hell now as it is....there is absolutely no other worse torture than the lives we live....

Now what makes me give a shit about burning in hell? like the pain.. i know the truth of not being able to experience the joy of pain and pleasure..what you fail to forget or understand..Pain and pleasure go hand in hand you idiot, what you hope to acieve in the after life? no pain? you will lose your head

  • @theetrue If you're a christian, what happens to people if they don't accept Jesus in their hearts?

  • @theetrue what a trolling backbirth you are, gtfo and go back to Your pinnoccio bullshit fantasy world, and leave the adults to their discussion...learn your place little kid

  • @gorlist187

Remember me Junior, you filthy little degenerate, when

you open your eyes in Hell; we share a special moment.

  • @atrumira

    What do you want?

  • @theetrue "What do you want?"

I want you to stay away from gullible people, from the terminally ill, the elderly & children - basically any1 who a sick twisted piece of christard excrement like you could prey on, victimize & mentally molest.

What a terrible thing it would be indeed to have you as a neighbor, parents would have to keep their children indoors & of course when it comes to your ilk, there is always the threat of violence, were u to hear the voice of your god in your head.

  • @atrumira

Anything else you have a problem with?

  • @theetrue There is no god. I'm a fucking Atheist dipshit.

  • Matthew 10:33

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.

  • @ToucanSamsAss ... sound of mind, and preticipating in the nesscery functions of that democracy/republic. Religion in general is more trouble then its worth, with all of its benefits achivable without religion.

  • @ToucanSamsAss What other's believed would not be a big deal if what they believed didn't affect effect there actions and in turn effect society. Nor would it be a big deal if where they lived wasn't a democracy/republic. Nor would it be a big deal if they weren't in a ruling position of a country. But the fact is more often then dangerious beliefs lead to dangerious actions. And for a democracy/reublic to function well the majority of its citizens must be well educated, ...

  • How's South Africa doing? Ah that's right.

It was the Republicans butchering the clergy that galvanized the Nationalists. Once the Nationalists left the Republican congress, the Republicans announced themselves Leninists. When the grown ups won, Franco then got rid of the reds, but then instituted a shitty mixed-economy that Hitchens loves so much. The Communists caused that war, the Nationalists were just reactionary. Franco even refused to collaborate with Hitler.

  • 'I'd rather be a sheep' that should be the fucking tag line of religion, of course you would rather be a sheep because you would rather be uneducated and stupid, your to lazy to look on wiki-fucking-pedia than just believe in a book writen by bigots and rascists 2000 years ago

  • @thevideovan 1 Cor 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

  • @rocksoli4 You quote the bible as if the bible were to be taken seriously. It has a historical value, but to actually use it to guide one's view on reality is in itself insane and makes me question your mental abilities.

  • @x2thay You guys really baffle me. What part of the Christian message of Love God with all your heart soul mind and strength and love your neighbour as yourself and love even your enemies and bless those who persecute you and say all bad things about you ,do you have a problem with ...please please please enlighten me.

  • Comment removed

  • @x2thay

    God is seeking individuals able to see His way;

It is simply a conscious decision to do so; Interested?

  • @theetrue And which way is that? Islam? Budhism? Christianity? Judahism? Any one of the 1000 other religions which have gods that seeks people to see his way in different ways?

Why should you expect to be taken anymore seriously than people who believe in any other religion in this planet?

    You think about that.

  • @x2thay

His way? The way of Truth and Love; The way of Christ

and His Word The Bible; Is there something wrong

with that? Why, do you think I am promoting a religion?

  • @theetrue "god is seeking individuals able to see his way"

Yes & your omnipotent god, who has limitless options available to him - his way repeatedly involves murder/genocide torture - to solve the problems that he himself created.

Eg: judges 11:30-40 Jephthah killed his young daughter (his only child) by burning her alive as a burnt sacrifice to the lord for he commanded it.

Good luck trying to justify this, if you even attempt to I will have have made my point & won.

  • @atrumira

Tell God you won when you come before Him on Judgment Day.

  • theetrue con't

So if by some freakish, exponentially minuscule chance (same odds as Batman being real) that the god of the bible turns out to be real then based on the track record of this monster, as per the bible, a much safer bet would be to deny this god & to realize that he is the epitome of evil.

For if there really is a god who's going to judge us he cud be waiting silently to see who figures this out & who blindly worships evil.

In this case YOU are the 1 who has much to fear.

  • @theetrue It must be terrible for you to feel so trapped in this judgment day hogwash. You don't realise you are the first victim of your god, this boogie man has your mind held hostage. I don't normally make this kind of comment, but I happen to find your god's threats coming through you very offensive and insulting so I am replying in kind so that you can perhaps see how outrageous it is you should side with this imaginary sadist. That being his henchman doesn't bother you, is repulsive.

  • @theetrue "Judgment Day"?

Really? I mean, really? In plain 2012? Judgement day? Just how severely indoctrinated were you as a child? That's the only explanation as to why you actually believe that religious crap... Judgement day you say...Please...

And I take it that you also believe that people will be punished based upon whether they believed some god existed? Boy does your god know what's important!... Belief...Oh please!

    Stupid...

  • @theetrue Which god would you suggest I tell? You have one in mind I assume...

  • @theetrue

    Judgment Day? The movie?

  • @x2thay Id like to question you. cos I dont believe in god

  • @Mee551able very well, then.

  • @x2thay so i shouldn't live my life like harry potter?

  • @x2thay To tell you the truth there is extremely scant historical value in it. That is why, in Israel, there are "real" history professors (based on scientifically researched history according to international standards) and judaic history professors (based on the bible), and they are separate because they are completely incompatible. So to me, it's a bunch of fables, of no historical, moral nor entertainment value whatsoever.

  • @ToucanSamsAss Well spiritual can mean a lot of things so it's hard to really compare it to religion or atheism in terms of what that establishes. But, I would say your example is pretty unique in terms of insight vs, ignorance and although a positive and beneficial enlightenment for you, and something I can relate to- doesn't really fit into the source for what ignorance is bliss refers to. I think in terms of religion, and social awareness it still remains pretty true.

  • world

  • Do we not need to hear the voice of our "heavenly father" to guide us. I'd rather be a sheep under the care of "The Good Shepherd than an atheist with no hope for himself or his family in this fragil

  • @rocksoli4 You are what you would rather be, a sheep, well done.

  • @yatter1 What are you? your going to your hell.

  • @Mee551able See you there shithead

  • @yatter1 what?

  • @rocksoli4 I feel sorry for you

  • @DarkPrince0fWGTN Thank you for your empathy but don't it's unecessary.

  • Husbands who say they love they're wives but yet lust after other women and visa versa...people insult us do we not retaliate do we not react to our circumstances..are we not sheeplike in our behaviour.

  • .I have discovered that to serve God is to serve others in whatever capacity you find yourself in is the most liberating thing in life. To be called a sheep is to accept the reality of what we are really like. Do you know many people who you can trust? world.

  • Sheep, Mr Hitchens calls us Christians....Isn't it strange that Jesus said of the kingdom of God, that the greatest in the kingdom is the one who serves. And also My sheep know my voice. Some people respond very negatively when the words servant or sheep is used ...like it is demeaning

  • @rocksoli4 You realize most shepherds eventually kill and eat their sheep, right?

  • @IoEstasCedonta You do realise that we all die but the Good Shepherd will raise them who know Him to eternal life. What a shepherd to have as Lord. Or was Jesus a liar? I don't think so. You will not find any lies coming from his lips?

  • @rocksoli4 You do realize that a shepherd's primary job is to fleece his flock annually, then kill them for food? Have you never heard of mutton?

  • @IoEstasCedonta Fact is, it is scientifically proven that if everyone obeyed the 7th commandment "Thou shall not steal" then every country and all people in the world would have a great standard of living. I'm sticking with the Good Shepherd.

  • Comment removed

  • @rocksoli4 If it's scientifically proven, please provide us with a citation.

Or at least point us in the general direction of the source you used; I make this exception due to YT's restriction on links.

  • @StrikaAmaru "Let him who has ears hear what the spirit is saying"

  • @IoEstasCedonta This shepherd would give his life for his sheep. he would leave the 99 safe ones to go and find the lost one. He loves you ,,,you just haven't experienced it yet.

  • @rocksoli4 I hate to burst your bubble, but the sheperd is immortal, so he can't give his life at all, and omniscient, so no sheep is ever 'lost'.

  • Comment removed

  • @StrikaAmaru Jesus said "Those who believe in me shal never die" therefore those who do not shall.

  • @rocksoli4 You do know that Hebrew shepherds had sticks to beat the sheep with? Beat them so they would go where he wanted. Very loving.

  • @PointlessSteel Pointless point, pointless steel.....He's a good shepherd,end of.

  • @rocksoli4 Bwahaha, I think you missed the point. No matter, I shall leave you be.

  • I think the whole reason people who say they don't believe in God, is because they do not want to be held accountable for their actions by anyone. So they can go about their lives and say 'well at least i don't have to worry about going to hell...'. It is sad really to go through life with no purpose other than self pleasure and to have no need for God because you don't think you can handle knowing you might actually have to answer for the way you lived your life.

  • @sigmapsicharlie I think you could be on to something with your comment. I'm pretty sure that all the murderous dictators were people who believed they would not be judged including those who say they believe in God and but they're actions expose that they never really did.

  • @rocksoli4 and ofcourse the most murderous dictator of them all would be the 'god' these others supposedly didn't believe in...

  • What do you mean

  • @sigmapsicharlie sure, you can word it like that; I think it is sad that you believe you must subject yourself to a 'divine' dictatorship that watches your every move and every word (the holy 'big brother'). People think we abolished slavery centuries ago, but in reality it's live and well in every church, sermon and prayer that currently parasitize our society.

  • @sigmapsicharlie You're dead wrong there. If you are truly interested in this, please contact me. Youtube comments prove to be a bad place for debate, many times.

  • It would be like me saying i want a new law made upon my belief that i should punch every fucker that comes to my door preaching.

  • I watched this debate and tony more or less says yes we cut your head off, but we are trying to put it back on. Do you people get how dumb that is.

Fuck showing respect to your made up bullshit when you try to make it law. i think you should have proof, So fuck you and your god to !

  • I have one thing to say. Look at how your kids are doing. LOL Yes they are in politics and doing very well, they are also on wall street. It's the only place you can rob people and not go to jail.

I give it up to you all for doing such a great job raising your kids. Good job.

  • r.i.p. mr.hitchens a great man with a great brain, youre so right . many thanks ,youll never be forgotten.

  • 0 dislike :D

  • the only change i would make in his speech is to add, "and boom goes the dynamite!" at the very end.

  • like being an atheist? like the new facebook page "Being an Atheist" (could not post the link)

We will have daily updates, videos, and in-depth conversations on atheist philosophy. Enjoy

  • Well spoken as usuall from him, even in his dying months he is still at it, never letting his view be skewed, let us all live so bravely..

  • @ToucanSamsAss ... aspect of reality and use that as your new security blanket if your unable to toughen your psych to withstand the brutality of reality.

  • @ToucanSamsAss Dude if you don't believe in a god/goddess, your a atheist. And that's all atheism is. The lack of belief in one or more gods/goddess, atheism brings no specific benefits or harm in of itself, nor are there any actual ideologies to it. Some thing or some THINGS may have been bothering him, who knows what. But a lesson to be learned perhaps is that if you used religion as a security blanket and leave it, then perhaps the first thing you should do is turn to some...

  • @ToucanSamsAss Sometimes knowing the truth comes with a lack of peace, which he knew and welcomed with open arms. As do many intellectuals. Most people may seemingly be at "peace" due to religion or a belief in god but they are just masking their fears of the unknown and living in ignorance. "Ignorance is bliss".

  • #Consider yourself, one of us. Consider yourself, one of the family!#

  • I miss him very much and will for a long time.

  • @dearashad A close personal friend whom you never met in person? I still feel that way about Isaac Asimov, 19 years later. Sometimes we think we'll never forget, but we do. And sometimes, we remember, to our own dying day, the richness they added to our lives.

  • @PsychoBurgundy3 Just jump on the bandwagon psycho ....if it makes you feel good

  • @PsychoBurgundy3 When it comes to religion, most religious people are stupid. That does not mean they are stupid people, they just are using bad judgement when it comes to religion.

Blind faith is used for one thing... religion. You would never use it for any other important decision. Why? Because it's stupid. We all know it is. Yet, for some reason, that view gets thrown out the window when it comes to religion. And that, my friend, is stupid.

  • @village1diot Faith is based on experience plus everything in creation...To have blind faith you need to believe that everything came from nothing.

  • @rocksoli4 No, to have blind faith is to believe in something without evidence, which is exactly what religion is.

  • @AvalonDraconis My evidence is personal between me and my creator ....I experience love forgiveness peace trust ....I'm on a high when I realise that all of creation was created by this same power ...The spirit of God.

  • Comment removed

  • @rocksoli4 Then who or what created your god? Let me take a wild stab here: He's the alpha and omega, right? The perfect circle? You're saying god always existed? Then why isn't it just as possible to assume that matter and energy always existed? And since the concept of time began with the big bang, infinity isn't really a problem.

  • @martinbondesson Silly question martin who created the God who created God and who creaed that God and so on. You have no evidence of what initiated the Big Bang or was it a little bang which created numerous other bang and when you add them all up you come up with a mega band with a few black holes somewhere. Blind faith??

  • @rocksoli4 Science is the best, reliable method we have of figuring out the universe, and when we don't know the answer we admit it. It's not a secret. It's actually okay not knowing. However, does that mean we will never know? No, it doesn't. We're working on it. But just filling in the gap with "Oh, god did it" gets us nowhere, and it's not an answer. And btw, you never take any science on faith. We actually deal with real, tangible evidence in science.

  • @martinbondesson It's a lot more than that "just filling in the gaps" that would make us people of poor judgement. like I said before. It is by experience that I know God .you cannot argue with what I and millions of others have experieced

  • @rocksoli4 Yes you can. That position has been refuted countless times. People have an amazing ability to convince themselves something is true because it just "feels good" to believe it. How do you determine that your god is real but the several hundred others that humans have ever invented are not? They cannot all be true and you know it. This isn't really a matter of either god or no god. There are MANY possibilities I'm sure you have passed off as foolish correct? How is yours not

  • @martinbondesson ....You can argue that it's not real. All i can say is that there is no greater experience than worshipping the one who created me. To worship comes from a rot word meaniung "To draw near to kiss. There are many highly intelligent people who have experienced God we can't al be wrong . Do you assume we are?

  • @rocksoli4 Well we are not just going to assume your right. lol. That is faulty logic there. Just because someone does not believe you does not mean they are claiming your wrong absolutely. It just means that you have not presented enough evidence to support your claim. In this case it is an ENORMOUS claim that requires enormous evidence.

  • @chuckwagon1645 If you wany God to apear to you ..it probably won't happen but the bible states that if you seek Him with all your heart you WILL find Him.

  • @rocksoli4 I seek truth with my brain. My heart pumps blood. Yours does too. Stop with the loose emotional babble please. It makes absolutely no sense.

  • @chuckwagon1645 You must seek Him for yourself, you must search Him out and when you find Him all yor friends will think you've "Got God" .."Lost the plot" etc but you will know that you have found life in all it's fulness.

  • @rocksoli4 Show me a reason why I would WANT to seek your god even IF he existed. The god of the bible is the most evil entity I have ever read about. I am thankful that there is no proof of that psycho.

  • @chuckwagon1645 There is only one creator Jesus is his name. Check him out in an unbiased manner and you will come to love the greatest "man" whoever walked the planet

  • @rocksoli4 what would an "unbiased" manner be? I am justified in suspending belief in what jesus claimed to be because you have not provided any evidence that he was anything other than a man. Show me evidence and maybe I would believe you.

  • @chuckwagon1645 Just a question. If the God of the bible appeared to you would you choose to follow His ways,His commands, would you be in awe of your creator, would you give Him the benefit of the doubt over things he has done in the past. Or would you give Him a piece of your mind and tell Him to get lost?

  • @rocksoli4 Absolutely not. I find his ways to be on par with that of a dictator. He apparently created humans flawed and then demanded that they atone for this flaw by gutting livestock then burning the carcass and if you failed to do this then you are sentenced to an infinite torment for finite crimes. This is the most immoral dogma imaginable. Pick up a Quran or the bahgvad gita and you will see how many cultures claim they have the "one true way" and claim the rest are wrong...

  • @rocksoli4 If the god of the bible appeared before me, I'd check in to the hospital for a psych eval.

  • @village1diot As would I, since the possibility of me simply gone bonkers is far more likely than any God appearing before me. It baffles me as to how religious people won't admit it's a far greater probability of this being the case. You'll have to ask yourself what makes more sense, and apparently they come to the less logical conclusion.

  • @martinbondesson Exactly. The probability of god appearing to me is extremely low. In fact, it is so low you might as well say it is next to zero. The probability of me being bonkers(if god appeared to me) is much, much higher. In fact you might as well say it's a sure bet.

It's really a no-brainer for any rational person to see. Of course, if you believe in fairy tales such as the bible and that men rise from the dead to become gods, you're not very rational about god anyway.

  • @martinbondesson I need a new keyboard!!

  • @rocksoli4 Personal experience doesn't account for much when it comes to evidence. People believed once that all the gods resided upon a mountain close by and would directly meddle with their lives daily. I am sure they had personal experiences too. The fact is, is that there is no proof for any single god existing, including your own. If your personal experience could be taken as evidence for you god, then so can my friend's for her claim to Isis. Both exist under this logic.

  • @AvalonDraconis "People believed once that all the gods resided upon a mountain close by and would directly meddle with their lives daily."

The Athenians, yes. The Romans were much more pragmatic. They didn't care if you believed in their gods or not. They added gods on a regular basis. Even had "fad gods". You could believe in and worship whatever gods you pleased.. as long as you made proper sacrifices to the real ones. Because failing to do so would be very bad for us all.

  • @rocksoli4 If you want to troll me, you will have to say something intelligent.

  • .......It clearly states in the bible that ..followers of Jesus will be taught by the Holy Spirit John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you".

  • @rocksoli4 spare us your mythology will you

  • @Battery9876 The bible also says 1 Cor 2:14 "But people who aren't spiritual can't receive these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can't understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means." Now why would that answer be in the bibe which was written 2K yrs ago?.

  • @Battery9876 Knowledge puffs up ....I find that intelligent people think very highly of themselves and it is their belief in themselves is the biggest barrier to knowing God.

  • @rocksoli4 aaah SHUT UP!
