@AvacadoBoy1 Because "greatest hit" type albums are usually exploitation. They exploit the bands, taking the music out of context and are probably paying less for it. They exploit the listeners by shoveling "hits" at them for one low, low price of $7 at the nearest Wal-Mart: the king of greatest hits retailers. It is like every other good thing... it tends to get dumbed-down, whilst profits get maximized.
