I drive from Edm to Vernon sometimes, and it take between 8-10 hours by car. both weather and traffic factor in. I usually stop at Blue River & Jasper for food/bathroom breaks. In the summer, it's a really nice drive!
Nice video,,,,,,i fly around central alberta as much as i can in a friends piper-p28,,and have flown the 172 once,,,must say the ole low wing piper handles better in my opinion,,but i do like your plane,,just wondering how long it takes from CYLW to edmonton

4.5 hours from Edmonton to CYLW via Valemount (following the highway).
5.5 hours from CYLW to Edmonton via Osoyoos-Trail-Cranbrook.
We stopped for fuel & lunch in Valemount on the way down, and we stopped in Cranbrook for fuel on the way back home.
The visibility was about 9SM in smoke from the forest fires.
