When doing this kind of song, a lot of singers jump at the chance to show off with vocal acrobatics which then the performance becomes about them. David always puts so much feeling of love, respect and honor into these beautiful patriotic songs. Even when he does improvise or lets his creativity flow in arrangement, it's a beautiful thing because of that voice, that most precious gift of his, as in this performance.

I was one of those fans who flew to Utah to see David perform at Stadium of Fire. I know of at least 50 to 75 others who did. Maybe more. It was so worth it! And to all of you, glad you enjoyed the video and yeah, this was an amazing performance.

Watching this video makes me feel like I'm floating in between heaven and earth. What a precious singer he is. I still can't believe why Jive didn't promote his TOSOD properly? The album is way better than a lot of albums out there that were promoted better by the labels and sold better as the results.

David doesn't just sing the words or give a performance...he gives blood, and he means it. What a beautiful tribute to the toops. As others have noted, he didn't end with a song of his own, he concluded with a dedication of why they had all gathered there. Another example of why we are diehard fans of David.
