love, love, love your shirt at the end. do you remember where you purchased it? it's the "love me the way that i am, not the way that you want me to be shirt." thanks.
@chevelleflorida :: sorry, those shirts are not for sale any longer :*( I've been bugging the creater of the shirts for over a year now so if I ever get more info about them I will let you all know.
@soursop OMG your screen name is soursop?!!! I love it!! Anyhoo, yes I dilute my castile soap, about 50% soap/50% water. I rarely use shampoo but when I do I don't dilute, I just put it on my scalp and wash (since if I'm using it it's for buildup on my scalp).
i know this is a duh question but did u get the castile soaps from the bath soap aisle or was it somewhere else? cause i'm going to get some instead of ordering from the net
Ha ha maybe because for the first time you tried the best soap ever, totally organic! I have been using Dr Bronner's for several years now and decided to distribute it. My favorite is citrus of course but all Dr Bronners products (shaving gels, lip balms, lotions etc.) are simply the best !!!
@OrganicAgenda I've only used the castile soap, and done so forever. Not even sure where to get other DB products or what's available (besides from your posting) :)
Sally does sell the thermal proclaim heat protectant glosser. I just bought it last night. It had mad reviews and so I bought it. It is orange or orange red colored. A little goes a long way. I also bought the little clear one you have in this video. Both work great!
I've heard others had this issue with castile soap but I have not (at least I haven't noticed it). I use any conditioner I can get my hands on, no preferences...although I'm toying with narrowing down my brand to just 1 soon.
Where did u get that t-shirt at the end? I like it. How did u find out about castille soap? My granny used it all while I was young on my hair(bar soap). I never known it to be in liquid form. I haven't seen it in targer but will look 4it.
I've only seen the rose one in the bar form. I like it but it smells like the grandmother sent like you mentioned in your video fyi. The almond one is pretty good.
I stopped ordering Dr. B's from the website I just pick it up at Target. I have the citrus (luv it) and the peppermint. I'm afraid to use it on my locs though.
It seems to add a moisturizing element. Though I'm in the I guess teenage stages of my loc journey @ 10 months, after washing they dry nice and soft. Also I noticed a nice sheen that was not there when using water for diluting. I also use a bit of baking soda in the mix as well.
Lol...yea I remember seeing those the last time i went to target they're really catching up they have an entire natural lane I was like WOW lol..can i say heaven lol
Love the t-shirt! I don't understand the reason for diluting the castile soap when water will be added when washing the hair. Can you please explain? Are you mixing the castile soap and water in a seperate container then applying it to your hair? Thanks Ini.
yep, i have an old castile soap bottle that i pre-dilute it in. For me it's conservation. The castile soap is so liquidy as it is you'll pour out way too much in the shower if you don't pre-dilute it. Then you're just wasting money. So if you add water prior you are less likely to be dumping valuable Dr. Bronners down the drain.
Love the t-shirt! Question. Can you please explain to me the purpose of diluting the castle soap? When washing the hair water will be added. Why the need to dilute? Are you mixing the castile soap and water in a separate bottle? Please explain. Thanks Ini!
the castile soap is very concentrated, if you put it directly on your scalp it could cause some irritation. So the water is just to dilute it. So you can put it in another bottle and mix it like she said 25% castile and 75% water and have yourself a little bottle of shampoo. Isn't that a great bang for your buck!! HTH :o)
Never thought about the irritation factor. Can't say I've experienced it. For me it's all about the $. You can stretch that stuff for EVER if you pre-dilute it.
I don't know if my answer went through or not so i will just summarize what i typed. The castile soap is concentrated. The water is just to dilute it. So you can mix (like she saide) 25% castile and 75% water in a small bottle and have a bottle of shampoo. HTH
i LOVE **** ROSES** especially authentic scents and eos -- the Dr. Bronners is very close to authentic rose scent, not sure if it is an EO or really good fragrance. both the soaps i found and purchased about 9 months ago.. that seems to be when it emerged on the shelves in my area (WI) -- i went and got that brush you used to blowdry.. havent tried it yet, but I will in Aug. love the video and the shirt at the end! blessings~
That blow dryign brush is great BUT you have to be very careful with that metal. 1. it gets hot (which is the point) and 2. make sure you protect your hair before blowdrying with moisture or oil.
Unfortunately I don't think that company makes those shirts any longer :(. I bought a couple of them in Harlem in 2007 from Soul Sista...their website has been down for ever and I've called and called and got no answers. I'll check again and see what I find out.

Your a lovely person thanks for sharing!! Be blessed ---

I've been using Dr. Bronner's lavender on my locs for the last 5 months.Love it. Instead of diluting it with water I use aloe vera juice.
