this as been a long time i hope you see this, but me and my dad took it appart for the same problem and we cant put the strap back. showing how to do it would be amazing
The belt that goes around the drum also passes through the motorized wheel. This wheel is usually suspended and is clipped in by a metal fastener. I first place the drum in place with the belt on the drum, then place the belt through the motorized wheel. Hope this helps.
Do I see a plastic type dryer duct attachment at the 25 second mark? That should really be rigid aluminum. Looks like a fire hazard waiting to happen. Be Safe!
Thanks for the tip. I have always used this vinyl vent tubing and never had a problem. Is there a web site that post stats on fire starts due to this tubing?
Hey, my hat's off to you, I was searching videos about dryers, and came across this, my dryer is making that EXACT same noise. I checked another vid and it seems like this repair shouldn't give me much of a headache, so I'm going to tackle it. I'm so lazy, I have a newer and better dryer in my garage lol
i have been doing this to all my appliances, i am a heating and air tech and just to come out there and look it is a $90 fee (not my prices) but good job jayson inspire people to get off theres ass!!! cheers!!!
A co-worker's husband has his own appliance repair business. When I was describing the horrible sound my dryer was making, she suggested that it could be the support rollers.
I have a family owned appliance sales/service store in my area. Luckily they had the part. I tried calling Sears first and they said it would be delivered in 10 days.... =<
Been there...done that. I did it when I was bored after surgery. I know...I know...my mom said I shouldn't be doing it either and should rest. I wanted to do laundry and felt good enough to fix my dryer....lol.
Hello. It wasn't too bad. You just pop off the top, remove two bolts off the front cover and remove the front. The drum is held in place by a belt that I remove and pull out the drum. Then the you can see the support roller I had to replace.
Haha, the change made me laugh.

That $3.11 on the floor plus about the same amount that you made today as a YouTube partner should be enough to buy you a latte at Starbucks = )
