I have a question about dual monitors:

If I have a 1440x900 17" laptop, and I want to dual screen with a 22" 1680x1050 monitor, will windows get distorted as I drag them across?

both keep their resolution, but windows desktop wont be viewable, except if you use two displays, running the same thing.

But if you have two screens, the other screen will be just empty, with same wallpaper, and be extra desktop space. wallpaper only will look odd, because different resolutions.

You can drag-drop shortcuts to other screen too, and do all normal stuff. But taskbar at the bottom of the screen won't be on both screens, except if they are clones of each ther.
