no.1 this camera need a power adaptor which is small but wouldn't fit into this camera, that means so called "wirelss" actually is useless.

no.2 it doesn't come with a hard drive. it can't record locally.

no.3 uuuuuugly. cool on your desk, but think about mounting on the wall or your ceiling. they need a real designer.

you don't even know what you're talking about. to make the email working you need a server because this piece of junk doesn't even support ssl to send email so if you don't own a server or rent one you'll never send any email via gmail or yahoo or anything the like. you'll need at least an ftp hdd on your network or a computer to record something.

Yeah .. typical linksys stuff is kind of hit and miss with how "easy" it is to install and make it work.

It seems like these days there should be a much easier solution with more of a plug and play system that doesn't need an expert to put together.

I have this camera and the software is a joke! I spent 3 hours messing with it before I got a picture on it and it only worked whith the ethernet cord. Wirlessly it never connected. I had to use my internet explorer with the cameras IP address to access it and the Linksys software never found its own camera (BAD PRODUCT!) I wouldn't buy one unless you are a networking expert.

This is about as good as it gets for a camera with this many features for roughly 250 bucks. The "professional" grade security cams easily break $1000 can't complain that its going to integrate perfectly into my WRT54G wireless router.

If you get one , of these IP cameras , make sure you properly secure it . Otherwise you will have "IP Cam Hackers" (also known as "Video Hams") from anywhere , in the world , hacking your IP camera .
