Hiya, Birmingham mass megaphone mission 20th in England, well went well, until the security guards at the 'bullring' shopping centre used violence to eject us ! Then about an hour or so later while in a bar the police struck with a tactical arrest of four of the group. Until these points we had free hugs everywhere, free sweets for all who wanted, signs saying 'everything is ok ' etc the local people smiling at us everything. It was a day to remember thats for sure, any how hope your well etc...

One: Do not take the camera off the security. They have no right to remove the camera from you unless in the case of investigation of a crime
Two: Never say your protesting. If you do claim this they can then say that you need permission of right of assembly. Best to call it art

I usually would not take my video off the security, I was just being a "good girl" because I was avoiding being arrested as per the conditions of my court order. We didn't say we were protesting, we said it was a uni project, he misheard us.
I will ask them next time about the request and order before leaving.
You should really do some study on dealing with the Police. You can find some great stuff on it. I would encourage you to look it up if you don't want the courts down your neck.
Look up Anti Terrorist - Dealing with the police.
Also yelling isn't illegal. Only past 10PM when it breaks the Public Order Act. Apart from that you can shout all you want. Also if the police want to arrest you.

BUT, I have found that we have fairly similar laws so I can usually use the same procedures in dealing with the police. Yeah I agree with the DON'T SAY ANYTHING, things could have been so much worse for me if the police had remembered to tape my interview lol (god that was priceless when Officer Stoddart turned to his partner and said "HA SHE ADMITTED IT... we haven't got this interview recorded have we?" lol
