  • How much hp is that ranger putting out?

  • inspiration lol

  • i have a 94 explorer limited with 186000 miles on it i drive the piss out of it to do you al think a 55 shot of nitrous would blow it its gonna be a wet shot

  • @fishermankory dont fucking put nitrous in an old explorer...

  • @fishermankory waste of money and it's still gonna be slow... and it's got 186,000 miles. with that many miles you shouldn't be beating on it like that. I can't stop you from doing it, just trying to give you my two cents.

  • @86camaroboy C6 is for farm trucks, if you want a pure strip car, a built AOD or C4, daily rig, T5 is all right, but make sure it has been gone over with a fine tooth comb, T5's can be all right, but at the same time they can be junk.

  • Is the turbo mounted on the exhaust manifold??

  • @302project Hey man I have a 89 ranger I want to out a 302 in it and 4x4 because I live in Michigan. Do you still have heat I know stupid question but I seen the inlet and outlet for the heater core are just plugs. Any possible way for there to still be heat Michigan winter with no heat would suck!

  • @pmi450 no i don't have heater or a/c took that crap out lol

  • @pmi450 but is very possible to leave it on

  • nothin i love more than a 5 minute idle video...

  • @anasasisxenophontis sorry I was my first turbo video lol

  • @302project at least you can idle lol and have a sweet ride if you ever wanna sell look me up

  • @dearbornerik thanks but im not going to sell the truck unless someone comes up with like $70k. I know what you are thinking but thats very close to what I have spend, and Im not done yet. I did this project as a hobby obviously but is something that I have pride on since I build it myself. In other words im never going to sell it :)

  • why bother intercooling it when the turbo with no heat shield is right next to the piping lol. But i bet you surprise some people :)

  • I love your steering wheel! Where'd you get it?

And if you don't mind me asking, how much money do you have into this truck?

  • @purpelmunkie I bought it on summitracing. The brand is grant.

I've spend more than $50,000 in a period of 4 1/2 years. Remember is that much because is my second engine in the truck.

  • @302project what is that motor out of?

  • @andrewsuzukirider nothing. I bought the block at jegs but the motor is based on a 5.0l mustang

  • hey you should put some more videos up

  • @coldairxc pretty soon! my buddy has a yamaha bike (don't remember the model) with a 1000cc engine. And we are going to set a race in a couple of weeks!

  • o ya should have read about the gears lol 4.11

  • have you dynoed it yet? what gears are you running in it?

  • wow whats that ringing sound? dosnt sound good to me :-S

  • @coldairxc that noise is coming from the trickflow intake. They make that noise but it's only at idle. Don't worry about it lol.

  • @302project im about to do a 2.3 to 5.0 swap in my 85 short vwheel base ranger my buddy im building the var with said if i went with the t5 tranny that i would have alot of wheel hop and he wants me to go with the c6 sould i.

  • @86camaroboy take the t-5..screw wheel hop..it do that anyway..shit load of motor for a ranger lol but the t-5 have alot more pep and fun to it

  • @heavy71chevy yea man im going to

  • @86camaroboy exactly what heavy71chevy said. Real drivers drive manual transmissions

  • lol i would like to state that i have the same exact pioneer radio as you now if only my 93 ranger 4x4 had a 302 v8 in it. sadly just a tired old 220k 4.0L 6 banger

  • @crcrazed14 yeah those 4.0 are tough as hell. I remember when i had th original motor in it I put the pedal to the metal all day long and it never gave me a problem engine side but transmission I had to change two of them lol.

  • @302project yeah if it had the a4ld i can see that for sure. i never had a truck with that trans and even i know its crap from how many people post problems with them on forums lol

  • @SaGalv your so right man i have a 94 explorer limited and im on my second trans at 186000 miles and its a pos im about to put a 55 shot of nitrous on it the motor has never been rebuit so if it blows im putting this motor in my truck

  • @fishermankory Yeah, ford re-did the trans for the ranger based vehicles in 00 or 01 i think...I know my 03 ranger with the 4.0 has the automatic 5 speed in it, the trans code is like r5rrd or something....i cant really remember. But I can tell you i have put that trans through hell off roading in sand with stock tires and the trans actually got so hot you could smell the fluid in the cab....yet to this day it still shifts like its brand new and doesnt slip with 97,000 miles. lol.

  • Info about the exhaust system?

  • @Kawasakikid270 It has B&G CUSTOM exhaust

  • demonic

  • @Rangerboycustom Yes it is lol.

  • a 4:11 rear with those size tires and that kind of power? No wonder you don't get any traction!! Really great job on the install btw!!

  • thats a bad idea lol

  • first off thats is awesome and how much power u putin to the wheels

  • I really don't know but I loose traction at 80mph+ at only 12 pounds of boost!

  • wow then i guess its alot of power then

  • I'm guessing i'm in the 500 to 600 hp range. You can see in my other video "Driving my turbo v8 ranger" that I don't get traction lol

  • I have a 89 ranger with a 302 in it and im turboing it in about 2 weeks and im looking for some ideas how to run the turbo. do you have any still shot pictures of this setup?

  • go to rangerpowersports. com, go to the v8 power adder section, there you'll find a thread named "93 ranger v8 turbo" there's tons of pics. Good luck!

  • thats just fukin amazing great job man i love it 5 stars ive got a 302 in an 88 ranger but it doesnt even compare to yours! come check it out tell me what you think

  • did u swap out rear ends? or is that still stock

  • Yes, it has a ford 9" with 4.11 posi

  • does it have rear disc brakes

  • not yet, I'm working on the fronts (big brakes)

  • hey can u keep the original shift stick because i have a 94 4 clyinder and im put in a 302 in it .

  • Sick!

  • thanks!!

  • how much does it cost to get the v8, new tranny, and have it all installed?

  • depends on so many things... budget , shop, parts that you want and so on but i'll say in the 5gs range or more

  • dammthat shits mean bro exellent job

  • thanks!

  • are you close to the miami area?

  • very close. couple of miles

  • Truck looks tits so far. I've got a 94 myself. Question though- what trans are you using?

  • Thanks!!

    Tremec tko 500

  • my tundra would kill that................................................nah just kidding sweet build hey you ought to put the stock rims back on and find some quiets exhaust that bitch would be a sleeper and a half lol.

  • Only one problem with the stock rims...no traction. With these rims which are 17 and with 235 tires I get no traction, not even at 80 mph, so imagine that!

  • yea you got a point, well how about some wider one off custome wheels that look like stock lol.

  • Sounds like a good idea but I have another problem LOL with the stock 14" or 15" rims I don't remember exactly, the truck will look like a 4x4 due to a 2" body lift that I put to ease the installation of the engine. I'm going with 18" and possibly 19" on the rear with a minimum of 305 on the back.

    later

  • Ok you got me but kick ass ride though.

  • AWESOME....JUST AWESOME

Nice truck man and great job on the build, it looks great!

  • Thank you, thank you.

  • WHAT SIZE MOTOR IS THAT? WHAT CAM? i HAVE A 347 WITH A TURBONETICS 76MM TURBO & F CAM, i REALLY WANT TO CHANGE TO A PT88. LET ME KNOW AT WHAT RPM YOU GET FULL BOOST. THANKS

  • it's a boss302 block (5.0L form for now) AFM B-41HR cam. And I get 8lbs boost around 3000 rpms max is 10lbs for now but I don't step on it yet cuz is not tune yet so I have to take it easy but I should be able to get full boost around 3500 rpms or so.

  • thats awesome man, have you run it on the strip yet?

  • Not yet. It needs a tune and a break-in.

    Thanks!!

  • nice truck any updates lately? what year is it. and is it two or four wheel drive?

  • Thanks. Updates you say??? I just posted this video a week ago!! LOL

    The truck is a 93 2-wheel drive.

Soon I'll post more videos but I have to tune it but before I have to change the injectors to a bigger size ( from 42 lbs to 80 lbs) and the MAF to an 05 slot style MAF (PMAS HPX MAF) which I hope It would put me in the 700 to 800 WHP range ( I HOPE!!!)

  • ha ha i had not noticed that you have only had it up a week. i have a 4X4 93 ranger could i do this same thing or would i need a two wheel drive?

  • I don't see why not, but it will be probably different due to the front axle

  • the reason i thing the four wheel drive version wont work is there isn't enough room between the front differential and the oil pan. i may be wrong though!

  • I've seen 4x4 rangers with v8, google it you'll find something.

    Good luck with your project!!!!

  • ok thanks i will look! i accidentally rated your video 1 Star just a second ago sorry!

  • don't worry about it

  • :O :O :O

    Hahaha sweeeeeettt!

    That truck is crazyyy!!

Bet you've surprised a few people at the lights with that beast!!

Now show us this thing on the road!!!

  • Thank you

But I haven't driven the truck on the streets yet, until i tune it.

I'll post some vids afther the tunning owing the streets!!

  • Very Nice truck man!

  • Thanks!!
