im gettin interest in having this adapter and yes my x3 live works with VPJR 25k but the problem is if u plug it in from the output of the VPJR to the pedal input it'll only works like an on and off switch, plus the external volume pedal cannot be calibrate in x3 live :( so im still searching for solution here,im tried the normal y cable too but it doesn't help much, but how am suppose to get this easy expression adapter if im stayin at Malaysia? :/
@rocnroll13 Whats the different between the First Y cable and the second one. And don't say the first one is a Y cable and the second one is the Easy Expression converter because we understand that.
We want to know what technically makes them different.
Running 2 helps FX units work better. Notice that expression pedals run a TRS cable. This harness changes the resistance and pot taper of the volume pedal to make it work like a expression pedal and connects to all parts of the potentiometer using both input and output connectors.
The first part of the video shows a standard "Y" adapter. It's OK as expression, but you don't get the full sweep. The Easy Expression Adapter gives you the full linear sweep.
I guess there's some kind of built in resistor ?

@rocnroll13 couldn't you just remap the response curve ? Wouldn't that fix the problem? Just curious:)

What is the difference between a volume pedal and an expression pedal?

@ronaranjo volume pedals have an audio tapered potentiometer and expression pedals have a linear taper.

btw, can this VP JR fits well into POD X3 LIVE?
blizvideo 1 year ago
@blizvideo If the X3 works with a normal volume pedal then the Easy Expression converter will probably make it work better.

just install what? and whats an easy expression adapter?
whats the different between the first y cable and the 2nd?

@blizvideo just install what? the easy expression coverter
and whats an easy expression adapter? what we also called it back then, we settled on converter.

Is the first one mono-mono TO Mono
And the second one is mono-mono TO STEREO??

i thought u just need to install 1 cable from the output of the pedal into the expression jack of the unit?

@44eelz oh, so all i need is a Y cable to make it an Exp. pedal? or is that a certain kind...
