This video has helped me majorly! We have a seal properly installed on our pool. Turns out, we were putting the seal around the case, NOT the lens. Thank you so much for your help.
Oh yeah .........Don't run over the glass that is gonna be all over the street cuz you dumped it in the bed of your truck instaed of maybe a box or trash......Wow talk about back yard handyman.....Where is the duct tape? This guy runs a pool business?
LMAO I hope it's his own pool....He states it's a good idea to replace the gasket then uses the same one ??? But the best is when you see and hear one a trim ring clamp piece hit the street. He doesn't pick it up or even notice. He re-installs the trim ring and tightens the clamp. No worries on replacing the gasket here. It's gonna be full of water anyway lol......Thank you pool guy I needed a laugh.
So the black part of my cord is sliced somehow...the internal wires seem to be ok, is there something I can do to "tape" it back or whatnot? Help I'm a woman, lol. I am afraid we will all be electricuted!
Just changed my pool light. This video was very helpfull especially on pointing the half moons on the light fixture in the right direction. Had trouble with the gasket tho, as which way faced outward or exactly how it went on. Found the info printed on the gasket, tho not easy to find. Black letters on a black gasket. I used tube lube as well on the gasket which was not mentioned on this video.
I wish they were all that easy to do. I have the same lamps and the tension wire is so short it was a ROYAL PAIN to get that bolt through and nut/washer on. What a pain.
for some reason water leaked through my gasket and blew my new bulb???..

Oh yeah, also, my light barely reaches out of the water, the sliced part doesn't come out of the water, what do I do?

@vrwhitlockable
Assuming your light still comes on normally and you know where the exposed wires are, have a buy some "liquid black tape' at lowes.
apply a layer, let dry, and repeat two more times- i am assuming you have found the exposed wire ?
If your light is fed by ground faulted GFCI circuit breaker, you should be safe from electrocution

@Nugburner420 Wow! The light itself is $9.99 for 500 or 1000 watts.

did you have to drain the water just below the light to get to it?
