i was over during the period the attacks were happening, i never saw any dead animals floating in the sea, and you cant really blame this for the shark attacks, they have been dumping dead live stock over board for year's, it was just a freak chain of events that lead to the Egyptians goign round killing sharks which was extremly heart breaking, we are vistors in there environment and we should respect it. I have been to sharm 4 times since the attacks and i will continue to go!!!

I actually saw a programme called Red Sea Jaws that confirmed the 2010 attacks were a White Tip, which are found of the shelf/ deep sea areas. It alluded that the cause of the attacks was down to 3 main factors - 1. A number of dive schools were enticing sharks into the dive schools; 2. tourists were feeding fish from the beach, which inturn attracted bigger fish and 3. the sea temperature was unusually high increasing the sharks metabolism - they sharks were literally starving.
