ZS3: can record 30fps and 60fps, have no time limit on recording (depending on how much memory available doh)

TZ7: can record 25fps and 50fps, have time limit on ca 15min or 12, cant remember.

Otherwise from that they are completely the same but with other names from different regions.

I guess it's still called TZ7 everywhere else expect in the U.S.A. So yes, they are the same.

ZS3 is definitely for the U.S., and anywhere else we use NTSC format. The T27 is the "other" format. I suspect if you are in the u.s., and get the t27, you might not be able to use many of the features for which you paid.

actually there is one crucial difference between the ZS3 and TZ7: due to the dumb tax regulations of the european union, the recording time of the TZ7 is limited to 15 minutes, whereas the american ZS3 can record until your sdhc card is full
