I've got to say to those that keep talking about how much FFXIV sucks, How many companies do you know that change the dev team, write apology letters saying sorry for the bad launch and state of the game and saying "We wouldn't pay for it, so we wont make you pay for it till it's fixed and done." How many Dev companies do this? Answer: Square Enix they are fixing it, they love it, they want to make it work and they will. It takes patience.

@navyrayne Listen the only question i have is. If they Knew this stuff was in the closed, and open beta... Then why did they release? It kinda baffles me. And what eases my mind is i tell myself that an intern tripped and spilled coffee on the launch controls and shit got real for SE. (Now... that was all about being non offensive and funny.) Heres what i think: "Gentleman... Were SE, im sure we can afford this in the long run..."

@TheNocturnalFox I think they might really have thought that at some point. It had a feeling of "Combine awesome graphics and wonderful music with the title "Final Fantasy" and it will work, who cares about the gameplay today anyways" to it at first. But they learned their lesson now, I think. They could have just dropped the whole project, but instead they decided to bear all the costs to redo it from scratch (new team, changes, servers, whatever) while having no income from playing fees.

This is precisely what the other FF's are missing, shoot im sure if Nobuo redone FFXIII i'm 100% sure that it's fanbase will skyrocket. XIII's music just didnt have that feel to it, only maybe 2 tracks in the whole OST that I like.

Goddamn, this is amazing battle music! This is how it used to be, you can definitely hear it's the same person doing the battle music from I-to X and again at XIV. It's the drama, emotion and pulsating melody which makes his battle composements recognizable.

@CatXFlash The game is doing just fine. We've more players now than we did during BETAs. In fact, we even had a server OVERLOAD of players last night! So, not sure where your pulling your erroneous ideals from but best put them aside. FFXIV is much more successful than you'd ever imagine. Don't believe me? Join us and open your mind to a true MMO where you have to WORK for your glory, gold, and power! I feel all special now that I went from a weathered hora to a bronze hora! HUGE power diff!

@CatXFlash It really does feel like you're living in another world. You MUST try them BOTH. FFXI was a lot of work compared to FFXIV and so far; XIV looks great and it seems to be a little easier for newbs like myself who hate to work hard in a game.

It is very breath taking when hearing this when doing a leve with friends. And it's the type of music that pumps you up! Let's kick their butts!

I don't know how many people that have commented on the FFXIV have actually played it and heard how it works with it but to me, they all fit very nicely; this one is usually put when you are pursuing; it gives a sense of urgency but not in an over done way. Gets ya pumped up :)

Only a few songs stuck with me after playing the game (yes, the battle theme, the final boss theme, and some other shit) but the rest didn't. It was a somewhat different take and from a different composer so I respect that, but it doesn't change the fact that I was not impressed. One listen to this track or the many other tracks for XIV and I'm ecstatic.

@deadpisser88 Well, I prefer listening to XIII's OST not in-game. A lot of the songs didn't fit the scenes IMO, but they are genuinely good songs.

This is classic Uematsu, though. XIII isn't topping that, but it was the best it could be IMO. Uematsu is always perfect.

If it were any other game that's NOT FF, XIII's soundtrack would have gotten much more respect, I think.

But, I digress. To each their own.

@Clanitz Hamauzu's best is still XIII. But X had a great soundtrack. All Uematsu's character themes in that one were fantastic. Decisive Battle from that game is also one of my favorite FF battle themes. :]

For me 13 had about 10 good tracks at most... 7 8 9 and 10 had well over 50 says it all 14 will be great, Hamauzu is great though as shown in X

@ShadowBasch I actually think Blinded by Light is the best Battle song ever and that FFXIII soundtrack is the third best in FF history only loosing to 8 and 7.Also Fighting Fate is epic, only other boss song that beats it is Fight on imo.

Ppl trash talk it because it wasnt Uematsu, I know the man is a genious but he isnt the only composer in the world capable of comming up with great songs.

Just to conclude I also think FF XIV soudtrack is great and Im glad tha Uematsu is back

What anoys me is the amount of trash talk Masashi Hamauzu gets just because his style is diferent from Uematsus. When him and Uematsu worked together in X they gave us some marvelous pieces.
