@orieo07 Turbo charger, probably a 1950cc aircooled engine, and the fact that the Bug weighs about as much as a steno pad, gives it way better acceleration. Over a longer distance of course, the Ferrari would win out due to a higher top speed.

I brought up the closeness in performance given the costs of each vehicle. Obviously your 40k beetle will win. But lets do the same, using your argument, only with my Fox. 40k beetle vs. a 40k 1990 Foxbody Mustang LX. In the simple engine space difference, I would beat you in a drag. And my car isn't heavy, 2775 lbs with the 5.0 in it.

I drove a slightly modified Jetta, which ugly as you may think it is has less drag than a viper. i beat more than one mustang, including an 09 GT just a couple months ago before i got rid of my car. my two liter jetta now shits on v6 mustangs. ford is epic failure. the mustang still uses a live rear axle. its not 1970 anymore, learn what a real car is.
