You should of got a color cased frame and a blued barrel 1873 Colt clone. The stainless Vaquero is nice, but the grips look better on a color cased gun. And it would of been just like 'The hand of God' ; )

Congrats on your new Revolver Pete. I had a Black New Vaquero but it was way to small for me, I sold it and bought a Stainless 1873 Cattleman by Uberti.45 Colt ,Quality is awesome, comes with Dark Stained maple grips. Love it.

@drgroove101 The Ruger New Model Vaquero (which you see here) is chambered in either .357 or .45 Colt. Either would be a fine choice. If you want fast get the .357. Slow & FAT =.45 Colt. I've been drooling over the .45 Colt maself. This is not a .45 Colt+p gun so watch your loadings in this caliber. The .45 Colt cartridges rated 'Ruger Only', which are hot loads of course, do not apply to this new smaller model Vaquero.
