  • Oo

  • I won't be curious anymore to sit next to the driver And see what they see. I'll seat my ass right next to the restrooms.

  • I'll take the car thanks...

  • @ExigeGT3 ... and then you see your car do poorly in a crash test as well. i think we all have to start walking again...!

  • Exactly why I always sit in the middle of the bus. Now if we get T-boned, I'm screwed but otherwise I'm fine.

  • Comment removed

  • well the drivers fucked

  • Now I know not to sit in the first two rows,

Sit way the fuck in the back where it's almost safe...

  • warum können die fliegen???

  • Also, they should "up" the requirements for bus safety.

  • I wonder if the older MC9's would do better than this

  • Dam

  • RIP driver

  • Was this a MarcoPolo?

  • well time to catch the bus down town

  • What's crazy is that it looks as if that's an MCI (Motor Coach Industries) front end and they just made up the back tail lights any old how since it's a crash test bus...damn...MCI's make up majority of the long distance bus industry.

  • goodbye driver..........

  • Guili

  • FAIL!!! honda fit doses better then this

  • I don't know why i remembered mashed potato when i saw the front cabinet !

  • start at 0:20 i think it hilarious how everything falls on one of the dummys

  • gotta love the fancy outfits the dummies get to wear

  • What Kind Of Cheap Buses are they making these days

  • oooooo

  • ..Thats it i rode the bus just to talk to my friends. Fuck yall!

  • Ouch.

  • Chineese made bus...

  • @hamzauysal

The MCI is made in the United States. Buses don't have crumple zones, so this is an expected result.

  • @CarPro1993 It was joke, please do not take it serious. : ) By the way, thank you for info. : )

  • @CarPro1993 well you know they can't really rate these things because who says your gonna hit a cement wall going down the road all the time

  • @hamzauysal @59 says european

  • @hamzauysal Fucking idiot. Ignorant fool.

  • @andytanviolin Why did you say that? It is too easy to swear at people on the internet, isn't it?

  • Comment removed

  • dead driver

  • You can buff that out.

  • the buses are'n safe at all!!

  • @DragonMaster937 hahaha yeah but 1st of all, how many bus crashes have you ever seen?! 2nd of all, how many of those involve a solid concrete wall?! 3rdly, bus drivers are amazing when it comes to driving. i bet you he would fine a miraculous way to swerve and hit it from side-on! hahaha

  • Thats why i sit in the back, i dont give a f*ck if im black..

  • Fuck driver would die for sure along with passengers from the front and people in the middle and back would fly to the front and be seriously injured

  • PWNED!!!

  • all aboard the fail bus

  • 1:36 Hey dummy 4 i m dummy 6!

  • Nah this isn't a test, they do this on a Wednesday for fun

  • YOU BROKE MY BUS,YOU BASTARD

  • The drivers seat is pretty high I don't know what this test proves beside that you should never drive a bus into a wall at 35 Mp/h. Maybe they should have run into something in the same shape of a car and then again with a truck that would be more reasonable thats at least what I think...

  • What happened to the driver?

  • Everybody on board...DEAD

  • 1:31 weeeeeee!!

  • Okay, from now on when I ride a bus ( ANYBUS) I'm sitting in the back... XD

  • scary to be bus driver. Drive tillu crash anddie?

  • The material that this bus is made of, is sickening. It couldn't even absorb the impact pressure, by no means. Leave the driving to who?!

  • damn, this goes out to the crash dummy in the red shirt (@ 1:39 - 1:54), and the driver... yeah they asses dead

  • Should've had a shot of a crash dummy on the toilet.

  • @harobmxer87 you sadistic son of a gun...ok,ok I admit that would have been funny as hell!

  • WHAT STATE WOULD USE THIS BUS?

  • wat is the position of driver!!!!

  • I feel bad for the driver if this ever happens. XD

  • now ain't that bitch...... the driver did not even had a chance

  • so ur fucked

  • Pancakes anyone?

  • And everyone dies.

  • Is the driver OK? How could the driver be OK? The driver is a pancake.

  • Is the driver ok ?

  • Not everyone would die, youd probably be dead if you were in the row with the first dummy in orange, but there would still be a decent chance of survivability for the rest.

  • Driver=dead

  • *mental note*: never drive a bus

  • I'm never getting on a bus again

  • 1:17 the dummy pops over to see what's going on in the seat in front of him

  • 1:54 sweet shoes dude

  • Don't crash your bus.

  • at least 5 dead in this crahs omg

  • why is that dude flying like that lmao

  • holy cow

  • ...im sitting in the back now

  • RIP bus driver.

  • Hmmm...I think it is not safe, at least for the driver and the front passengers....

  • so is there any legislation being set in place to improve crash protection for bus occupants??

  • so... this test proved... that everyone is fucked?

  • Driver is death cry.

  • fuck!the driver is dead:(

  • party bus!

  • I suppose putting clothes on the dummies is supposed to make them more relatable? lol

  • Well, this video freaks me out!!! I drive a dang flat nose school bus

  • what would happen if the driver was there- i guess he would die

  • what bus is this volvo?

  • Justin Bieber was on the radio..

  • no question, the bus driver is fucked up, he gone be dead

  • Uh... I'd rather strap a rocket to a big wheel and ride it.

  • DAMN! I expected the wall to be smashed, but the opposite happened. Buss's arent as strong as i thought... it got owned taking the driver to heaven with it. LOL!

  • drivers fucked!

  • Lets see, now I forget why was it soo cool to sit in the back if the bus, Oh yes, it bounced the most........

  • first and secound row daed !!!

    third and fourth dead

the rest they hope they were gone befor thats hapen

  • @shinusha How about getting hit by an asteroid? Also highly unlikely, should we be protected accordingly? There is a cost to all these protective measures and it has to stop somewhere.

  • Only proplem is some big buses don't have seat belts :0. I really hate to have that happend to anyone!! I cringe at the thought of what could have happened when my mother and everyone(included myself) on that bus when we went on our retreat in December2010! OMG!! its kinda sad to think about it beacuse she has to sit in the front of the bus(on those really biiggg buses) or shell be car sick :'(

  • 1:32 theyre playing leapfrog!!!!

  • This is shocking. Most cars these days would pass this test flawlessly.

  • So umm why are the dummies clothed?

  • does this mean that MCI is cheap? or all of the coach buses have a poor frame construction?

  • i would have hated to be in that room while this was goin on...

  • i think thte driver got squished

  • 2:40, Talk to the hand XD

  • BTW, EVERY Greyhound I've every been in had ZERO seatbelts

I'm sorry, the driver has one

Which will help picking up his body parts much easier

  • Stupid people ask me why I sit in the back of the bus

So if you are the driver of the Greyhound, you would VERY dead

If you are in the first 5 rows or so, you are dead

If you are in, or around, the bathroom, you'll get wet

But you get to go home!

  • @toyotas2006

Well if the bus were to be rear-ended the possibility of this happening would be the same. :-\

  • @VIRAJ818

Only a Semi could move a bus that size, and cause that much damage

The buses natural enemy is itself. Kind of like a Lion

  • @toyotas2006

I wished they would make frames stronger.

  • @toyotas2006 You can get killed anywhere. Imagine sitting at the back and a fully loaded semi rearends your bus. Or hits it from the side just where you happen to sit. Yes, it can happen anywhere. The point is - bus crashes happen pretty rarely so we can travel with quite a confidence.

  • I wonder what the job description is for the guys who wreck all these vehicles in the name of science.

"You get to smash the f*ck out of everything that ever drives on the road. Oh, and you get paid."

  • now THAT is a Fail

  • thats a weak bus

  • driver is fucked, 1,2,3rd rows are fucked, everyone else is fucked from debris... oh joy, a mass coffin

  • If the crash doesnt kill you, all the shit flying around will. Its like a being in a blender with glass and metal debris.

  • hes bead

  • Imagine if a car was in between the bus and that truck!

  • i hope the driver can atleast reach the hazard lights button (if not totaly obliterated). Be a shame if a fully loaded semi was to read end you, be like a crushed can after. not only is the driver expected to die, but the passengers at the rear too.

  • So, basically, if you get into a bus crash as a driver, you're expected to die.

  • @meatwad21121

I am also a driver, but i do know of an incident in Alaska where the driver fell asleep, failed to negotiate a curve, and launched the bus over an embankment and crashed. The bus was an MCI E4500, and the driver walked away. It crumpled around him and he had to be cut out of the thing.

  • @meatwad21121 Basically everyone on the bus

  • EPIC!!!!

  • what needs to be done is have a steel tube frame with airated aluminum inside the tubing in front of the bus to help protect the driver

  • the driver is done 4

  • I wouldn't want to drive that bus against the wall.

  • there goes the bus driver.

  • for coach driver is a sure death

  • Row 4 was almost crushed itself. Row 3 was destroyed itself and anyone in the rightmost seat in Row 3 would have been trapped. It'd be cool to see this bus loaded with a dummy in each of Row 1, 2, and 3 to see what the HIC's would have been. I mean Row 4... had a ton of debris moving around, hitting its occupants, one of whom was already seriously injured and the other was unhurt by sheer luck.

  • Who shot this video? What is CAPE?

  • @spuduh717 google ?

  • The worst thing for me in this is the glass raining everywhere !!

  • I learned something: Use helmet on a bus

  • that is not safe... the driver would be dead

  • Well at least now I officially know I am a dead man in a head on collision.

  • Is this really a likely scenario? How often do coaches run directly into a high wall?

  • @bmccull

    Think of it this way:

That wall is the back of a fully-leaded Semi truck.

  • @CarPro1993

But semi is likely moving and alot softer than a concrete wall.

  • @CarPro1993 It's like rear ending a stopped Semi at little more than 35 mph; the semi would move a little. But buses do up to 65; this is reasonable.

  • @whattheheck1000

That's what I was trying to say.

Imagine a stopped Semi in the highway and bus, trying to stop before it reached the Semi.

  • @CarPro1993 Imagine if the bus couldn't slow down as much! There could be an impact into the semi at 55 which would be like a barrier at oh, maybe 52.

  • NOT possible

  • @CarPro1993

I am doing a safety class for work and would like to use this video if I could. Would you eamil it to rhpaff@yahoo.com

    Thanks

  • @CarPro1993 hey both our names end in 1993! haha random i know

  • @skatersRgay1993

Pulling from pure logic, I suppose that means we were both born in the year 1993?

  • @CarPro1993 lol your logic is most likely correct.

  • @CarPro1993 Rats, I was born December 25th, 1992! I should have been born just a week later!

  • @skatersRgay1993

  • @CarPro1993

Kinda. The rear of the trailer would have to be made out of concrete, though. Most trailers are aluminium or steal and pretty thin steal at that. A fully loaded bus hitting a semi trailer would probably cause more damage to the trailer of the semi than the bus. And considering that the first 2 rows of seats are gone and the next two rows are half gone, and some of the seatbelts failed and the shower of glass, I would call that a pretty poor result.

  • @bmccull well would you rather do vehicle testing on a highly unlikely worst scenario, and fix it accordingly, or a scenario that is more likely and have busses on the road that could get into worse trouble

  • @bmccull lets test the worst scenario and prepare for it, less dangerous will automatically cause smaller harms

  • Glass shower

  • R.I.P. beloved bus driver

  • I feel bad for the people that can't fly... Some people escaped by flying...

  • WTF

  • Hinten Sitzen ist einfach sicherer :D

Naja, wenn man das so sieht, dann denkt man sich schon, wie tot ein Fahrer da drin wäre, und irgendwie vergeht einem das Lachen dann auch mal...

  • Damm, i am a bus driver!!!

  • @malucodorock you better quit while can

  • @TheDavionharvey , yes, in this month i change my job.

  • @malucodorock change ya job :D

  • @99iron99 I'm going to work with radio link.

  • @malucodorock Its much saver beliece it :)

  • @malucodorock is ur bus like this one?

  • @crazyAlexander23 I don't think so... but, I drive a 1150 Paradiso GV- Scania 113 1995.

    A Hug.

  • @malucodorock ok i think it wold be good to not hit a wall on high speed :)

  • @crazyAlexander23 OH yes, I drive with full responsibility, after all I'm taking lives.

  • @malucodorock wow i am a wrecker driver and i had see a lot of accidents like that

  • There were 48 seats (assuming 12 rows of 4)

12 killed by the crushing of Rows 1, 2 and 3. Maybe 11 if one was lucky.

We have 36 to 37 livable seats left.

Row 4's looking a little iffy, so we'll say 1 death.

We have 35 to 36 livable seats left.

Factor in a possibility of up to 3 more deaths from falling debris, etc...

We have 32 to 36 livable seats left.

Death rate = 25 to 33 percent if bus is fully loaded.

    I'm not liking those odds.

And we're not even factoring the driver - he'd be crushed.

  • @whattheheck1000 Wow, you must have your masters in bus crashes.

  • @TheChronicMasta Eh, kind of, if you want to call it that.

  • I think you got aisle and window mixed up.

  • I read that the Row 4 Aisle HIC was 1716.

  • @whattheheck1000 Sorry, 171.6 according to the report.

  • Test Date: 16 November 2009
