Nice call. The Cubs won 85 games last year and lost no one, while getting a MAJOR right field upgrade in Fukudome and a MAJOR upgrade at catcher in Geovany Soto. They are much better offensively and defensively, while already having the 2nd best pitching in the NL.

The Brewers won 83 games last year, and got worse at catcher. Last year, Sheets was healthy for a majority of the year(Not likely to happen again). They are an offensive team with no pitching or defense. That doesn't win jack shit.

We're pretty good as it stands. We just have to win the division, and the playoffs just go to whoever is hottest at the given time. The thing is, we're about the 9th or 10th best team in MLB, so we could definitely use help.

-Offense is the #1 hole. We don't get on base at a good enough rate.

-Defense is all above average in every spot (Minus Shortstop)

-Bullpen Is our greatest strength.

-Starters, 2nd best in the NL last year, they are fine.

Rich Hill was arguably the best pitcher on the staff last year! Jesus Christ man. Last year, he was MUCH better than Zambrano, and equal or better than Lilly. And turning 28, ad following the trends of pitchers with similar styles, I can definitely see him getting even better.

As it stands, going into this year, Hill is the most consistent and best starter on the staff. And you didn't even mention him.

Aramis did not underproduce. He is an amazing fielder, and had a very good year last year. Pie is out 2-5 days, he will be back. If Sam Freaking Fuld is the starting center fielder for the Cubs this year, that is very, very bad news. It's bad enough we have the worst shortstop in baseball.

He hits very badly in the clutch, all while having poor defense. BTW, he's already 28. Pie is not a hole, shortstop is the weakness of the '08 Cubs,
