  • awsome tips thankyou so much =)

if i substitute oil for butter should i take the same quantity or should there be a difference?

will oil effect the texture of my cupcake in any way?

  • @jojo92692 Be sure to follow a recipe that uses oil because you can't substitute a liquid (oil) for a solid (butter). Too much liquid can make your cupcakes sink after done baking.

  • Thank you Naseem! I baked my first set of cupcakes last week and they turned out very dry ( I even made sure they didn't overcook). I did however add rose water and was wondering whether that could have contributed to the cupcakes lack of moisture?

  • @MasaLilly Hi there! What recipe did you follow? I find that using cake flour and egg whites help lighten the batter, especially if you have sifted all your dry ingredients. If you can (to get the ratio of wet to dry ingredients accurate) weigh all of the ingredients to ensure a successful cake–I find too much or too little flour, in particular, can throw an entire cake’s texture off! Let me know what worked and thanks for your question!
