Great song by late Prince Nico Mbarga of blessed memory.
I remember one night when my father came home late from work with this particular album under his armpit. Then we used to live at Onipanu area of Lagos and when my mum asked what kept him so long at work he said he had been with friends @ the popular "Man must Wack" bar at Fadeyi and was so fascinated with the music that he had to buy the album for us to enjoy at home.
thanks to groovemonzter for bringing back my childhood.
oh what a message!!! forgiveness.if someone hurts you forgive him if not you will appreciate the value of forgiveness when you hurt someone mistakenly and that person refuses to forgive you. so N.M is preaching forgiveness. I love his musics because of the message they contain.
bravo Mbarga though you died, your works will live forever.
prince nico is one of the greatest artist in africa, i love his music so much as it brings up alot of memories as a boy growing up in nigeria in the eighties. RIP prince
I remember those old times as student in Yugoslavia, wenn we were yung and the african sound real sound: Chief Benett Amaefule, Sir Tony Taiwo Babayomi, Chief Emmanuel Kwashi Avumatsodo. What for a sound! Wenn we wre young! Wenn we were proud african student in Europe. God bless all the smart african guys and beautifull african ladise! The trouble: All of U are smart, nice and beautifull! god bless U! God bless Africa, the mother continent. Shungu Tundanonga
This song is so deep in its "Simplicity". This song is so on point about how one should live, it could have been written jointly by MAAT and Heru. --- "My way be simple, if you give me I take, if not I leave it, I don't cause stress, but if you curse me you curse yourself." Lol!
May the Good Lord rest your dear soul Prince Nico. You are one of those few who rocked my childhood. I must say very beautiful song, meaningful and ofcourse the melody too. From Cali, i salute you my Prince with my dancing shoes ofcourse!!!
Those with no high world connections, have God as their Godfather. God is our advocate as we have no one in high places. A cow with no tail to drive flies(troubles) God chases flies for it.
One of my best tracks!!!!! Prince Nico you still remain one of the best. You made Africa proud and till this day you still do!!! Your mesages, your lyrics ,your style of music ....TERRIFIC! !! You remain one of a kind! May God bless your heart. You rocked my childhood!!!!!!!!Thanks.R.I.P.
