  • I like your K-On Bg. :3

  • m11 isnt a netbook but a gaming laptop with no cd drive i have a sony i5 i never use the dvd drive on it so thats why i got the m11 and its just as fast as the sony i5 that was $1299 m11 $999

  • i has this 1 took it back dvd stoped working and it was frezzing after 3 days i bought alienware m11 for $999 love it works great no cd drive but everything is downloadable these days itunes for movies and tv show s steam for games i bought norton for $49 u get a card u can down load norton virus for 3 pc so i never use the cd drive

  • @sonoftaz .... my laptop has been running for almost 2 years now and its still running strong....just collects a lot of dust LOL!...Uhhh norton has improved immensely over the years but to me they are still like a bloatware to me :P. M11X is pretty heavy for a "netbook" but its power is pretty good lol...but i'd rather get a big laptop...but thats just me XD

  • When I went to the website they were out! D:

  • @LoveToRomance of course they would be out! I don't think they produce these anymore anyway. They ahve the updated ones with better graphics cards that supports DX11 and has an core i7 CPU...a great one is the ASUS G73 but if you are just looking for gateway, you wouldnt find one as i think they stopped the FX line for laptops.

  • @TehChangster What about Best Buy? Do they have any good cheap gaming laptops...? My friend owes me a laptop, but at the same time, I don't want to make him pay too much.

  • @LoveToRomance gimme a price range and I'll see what i can find for you in best buy :P

  • @TehChangster 600 - up?

  • @LoveToRomance whats the max price??

  • @TehChangster I said 600 and up.

  • @LoveToRomance sooo....a 1.2k laptop is fine right?

  • @TehChangster If he can afford it, sure.

  • @LoveToRomance go to bestbuy and search for the G73JH-BST7...its a great kick ass laptop :D

  • ok so, nice choice on the kick ass machine, but anime and techno music-seriously? man up to metal and more manly lifestyles, such as sports and high end gaming

  • I have this laptop and its awesome and handles every game i throw at it but the only thing i dont like is alot of cool camera effects like some of the laptops out there :( but the gaming part of it makes up for it haha.

  • @sombagonkaron ... yeah the webcam effects are really bad hehe...and webcam is not that great either ~__~

  • wow K-ON! wallpaper on a gaming laptop! now that's rare to see, haha..

  • I changed it.....to Seitokai no Ichizon XD

  • wow cool, i watched seitokai as well! u're into anime?

  • yeap yeap! :3 full time otaku :P

  • ive got a gateway nv52 can it be upgraded (i know nothing about pc gaming)

  • if its a laptop, no you cant upgrade anything besides the Hard drive and RAM on a laptop

  • I'm buying a used computer: Asus G50VT-X6 for $750CDN. The computer is in mint condition. Do you think it's worth it to buy it at this price or should I go for some brand new computer?

  • thats a great deal u should inspect it and run some benchmarks on it before buying it

  • how much dose it cost

  • depends where you live...in US its like 1000-1200...but in singapore its double the price

  • I just got it yesterday. I'm in Canada and I got it for $725CDN. The model is Asus G50VT-A2 and it has all bells and whistles you can imagine. The computer is in perfect condition. Has Blue ray and 640GB hard drive with 2.53Ghz processor. I love it.

  • Can i just ask a question?... i'm hoping in getting a laptop with 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD, and i hope to play L4D and it says i require 2GB RAM to play, will that use up my RAM and make it 2GB left or does it mean i just need that amount and it won't reduce my RAM? (tell me if this is confusing)

  • well u would still have 4GB of RAM and u should do fine with 4GB of RAM...also games depends on the Graphics card..to play L4D, you would need a decent graphics card..a GT220, 8600GT or the 4570 would do fine with medium to high settings and also you would need a dual core CPU of atleast 2.0GHz

  • Yeah it has a Intel Pentium T4200 dual core processor and Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset graphics card.

  • the intel 4500 gpu wont really play well in L4D...would be lowest settings for that and u might get lags and stuff....intel graphics = BADD

  • To be honest i don't care if i "lag" as long as the game works.

  • Plus the laptop i'm getting is 2GHz processor speed which isn't far off yours.

  • by the word lag i mean FPS lags...you will be playing at like 15-10 fps -__-" oh and gaming is really graphic dependent

  • yeah i know...but thanks anyway.

  • just ordered the new fx p-7915u. only difference is a better gpu. i really wish they increased the resolution though :[ 1440x900 seems a tad low for it's size.

  • same here but if they did increase the resolution, and i wish i waited before i got this cause after 2 months of using it, i saw ur model on the market and im like NUUUU and worst of all it was at the same price T__T

  • yeah, i got it at best buy for 1050. but the thing is, i'm having trouble running a certain game. since i have no mouse, i'm currently testing the laptop out on a game called dragonica. i get frequent hiccups and some lagging even when my specifications are way above the requirements. i tried updating the gfx card by installing a driver from the nvidia website but then i couldn't access my video card settings after i did that. and the gateway website has like no drivers.

  • How well do high-end games run on yours by the way?(i.e. crysis, dragon age origins, MW2, GTA4).

  • well havent tested MW2 on my laptop yet...well for dragon age origins i get like 30fps on highest settings and for crysis i get like 15 fps on very high with 2x AA @ 1280x720

  • i have the p-7805u with slower processor but 1920x1440 res, all other specs same as description... cost was $900 CDN

  • 1200 my bad

  • i have this computer its amazing

  • nice wallpaper. this laptop owns. im running off it now. amazing. graphics are 14 out of 10.

  • im getting an fx7805 for $1000 i think, this 1's too expensive 4 me

  • its only expensive here in singapore lol..in the US, its arnd $1000 too.

  • ya, i think that 1's like $1300 in the us.. and in only 14

  • thats an amazing machine cant believe its actually better than my laptop

  • So this is recomended TehChangster?

I am looking for a very good gaming laptop that can run games good and is fast. I have been looking at these models from Gateway FX for about two years but never actrualy thought about getting them. Should i get this, or a desktop? With a desktop you can replace the componets because it will get outa date, but with this you can't really . . .

    Idk which to chose from.

    Thanks. :)

  • if you want to replace components so it will never get old, then i suggest a desktop...a custom one more preferably :P....soon i am gonna do a crysis benchmark on my desktop and my laptop to compare them...so yeah...but if u want it future proof, then get a desktop...my laptop might last for about like 2 years til i might need to get a new one though.

  • Oh, ok but lol i want a portable computer so i can bring it places and stuff, but i guess i'll get a desktop anyway.

I'm hoping for your Crysis benchmark. :)

BTW do you have Grand theft auto IV? if you do, please do a benchmark on it.

    Thanks.

  • it will take a while for me to get GTA 4 but ill try :D

  • Oh, no problem, you dont have to get it, only if you like

  • i have the same laptop man how did you get the music loud wtf mines loud but i dont think loud as that...

  • hmmmm its probably just the mic on my camera..but its still loud :P

  • haha i totally agree with you

  • well you got a gaming laptop.... what games do you play.?

  • practically any games that i have...currently, Empire: Total War, CoD 4, Left 4 Dead, Far cry 2 and lots more of other games.

  • what was that song's name dude

  • eurodancer by dj mangoo

  • how much it cost?

  • In singapore, it costs $2600 SGD...in the US, its around 1.3- 1.5k usd...its affordable for a gaming laptop

  • its about 1k at bestbuy

  • really? cause its around 1.2k in newegg O__O..also in singapore...laptops are twice the price than in america T__T

  • im pretty sure i saw it for 1k at best buy.. and when they have those sale days twice a year, you can probably find it for 700

  • Hey I got two questions, how were you able to post a video longer than 10 minutes, Youtube put a limit a while back with 10 minutes and I thought this model was only sold in Canada right now, but your from Singapore right? Or your from Singapore but living in Canada? Thanks.

  • mehh i think u can make it longer than 10 mins maybe like a 12 min vid but some ppl put 24min videos...but i dont know how...right now gateway is worldwide now so basically i can get it in singapore..and i live in singapore

  • make a director account..

  • and why should i do that?...i dont post videos really often lol

  • Haha freaky it's a very good presentation(^^)

    Good job(^,^)v

  • LOL matt~~ XD

  • Oh and btw, awesome review! 5/5 stars.

  • I bought the p7805u just a few days ago, its kinda the same like this one with bader CPU and better HDD.

I bought mine with a better CPU tho, so mine will kick the butt out of yours =) I just can't wait until it comes to me!!

  • Do you notice any setback on loading games since its 5400 rpm instead of 7200 rpm HDD?

    I'm thinking on buying one

  • There isnt much setback...just a few seconds slower.

  • hmm not a bad laptop at all :D
