Richard played on "The Angel" on the Greetings from Asbury Park album as well. Bruce got him to perform on his albums after listening to Van Morrison's Astral Weeks where Richard played on each track.
i actually lived in his girlfriends house as an exchange student...haven't heard from them in ages...just decided to look her up and i laughed my ass off when i saw this... her sister and she love bruce SO FREAKING MUCH...to bad i didn't get to go to the concert when then went...hmmm some three years ago :D

That looks like Richard Davis on Bass, who lives in Madison. He played on original version too.Does anyone know??

Yes, it's Richard Davis who played on the original. He currently teaches at UWM in Madison, Wisconsin.

@sethduhnke Yes the great Richard Davis on bass as on the original, I studied bass with him in NYC in 1976 and he was special.
