As great an artist as Clapton is, I'm sure now that he did not cover this piece, nor did he invent the wheel, find a cure for cancer, or was the only guy to be responsible for the greatness of Cream . Yes, a man by the name of Jack Bruce did exist , and still does ,although sparingly mentioned .
Hey there. Just letting you know that this isn't by Eric Clapton. It was written and recorded (a couple times) by Mason Williams. There's a common misconception that Eric recorded it because he included it on a soundtrack to a movie called "The Story Of Us".
