Hey sir thank u so much for the explanation ... Well iz like driving. A manual car...so easy for me...that's a piece of cake...iz just a bottom button dat iz on that shift...and also that air brake...but other than is easy..for me..thinkin on becoming a trucker love the idea...but thank u again...and God bless u...ok
@adamup83 That's right. I showed the truck in the inside lanes so people could see how you have less room, and that it's better to be in the outside lane. Usually this situation is an off ramp with maybe one lane going one direction and two lanes going another. Anyway, you're right, stay to the outside lane when possible.
this is the only thing im worried about when i take my exam next week...my volume on my computer is shot so ill have to go read up a lil bit in my text book..

@john17972 I agree. This would be like an off ramp from a highway. Sometimes you'll see 2 lanes turning one way, and 1 lane turning the other. I made it 4 lanes just so I could show turning in both directions.
I dont want to think I'm right or tell you about your job but to me, the right hand turn if your truck and trailer are in the left lane and the right lane is open that poses a "preventable" accident risk, if someone goes into that lane and the offtrack of the trailer has the possibility of hitting the vehicle occupying that lane, should you angle the trailer in the right lane and the truck in the left? so no one gets in between? a hook turn?
I've found it safer to be in the outside lane in a two lane turn. If someone comes in that inside lane while I'm turning I just slow down, and let them get by me if it looks as though my trailer will take up too much of their lane. If you're on inside you usually have to go in the other lane with your tractor to avoid the curb. Then if you dont judge your turn wide enough and it looks like you'll come up against a light pole or something you're really stuck. Jim
I saw all the videos and I got to say, so far they are the best! They are very detailed and now I can understand more about shifting and driving a Big Rig. I wish he can explain how to drive a 18 gear truck! Anyways GOOD VIDEOS!

A one way road with 4 lanes is kind of strange.

actually true haha thanks... plus the driver of the car should know out of common sense that your turn signal is on and what your intentions are./

i like your videos. Especially with your drawn out maps of different areas with the little truck.

So basicly, with double turn lanes, STAY IN THE MIDDLE.

Ya position yourself to get as much room as you can before the turn.
