I think doing a movie about Dean and Jerry is nearly impossible, because they were made famous by their personal images, facial expressions, and voices, so people would never want to see imitations of them.

I absolutely ADORE Sean Hayes and Jeremy Northam both, and they do very good jobs as well as they can in this movie...but it's a crappy ROLE to be cast in. They're never going to be as good as the actual people or make it believable :/ That's just the nature of the role, unfortunately.

I actually dont mind the casting for Dean Martin, i mean, personally i dont think they could ever find someone to play Dean and make it believable but i think Jeremy Northam seems more believable than most would be. I just dont think they portrayed Dean correctly...maybe thats just me. But i dont think thats the actors fault.

i hate it when people say they dont like this movie they need to relize that these actors are good and bought their best to the movie but they are nowhere near the dean martin and jerry lewis in my opinion they did a very good job and didnt try to portray something false some biographical movies try and put things in the movie that is nowhere near what happened they didnt do that in this one and i am very happy they didnt

Jerry was somewhat of a consultant on the film (he also gave his personal approval of it as well), but not all of it: this is why there are contradictions and certain "fictional elements" tying the chronology of the team's rise and fall together. Similar "biopics" on Lucille Ball and Jackie Gleason, also broadcast on the network, had the same problem.

Yeah i know, even so, Dean also hated the martin and lewis films cuz he was always the bad guy then became good to save the poor kid (Jerry) and also Jerry only being in the spotlight..Jer even said " i couldnt last up to 2 weeks, he lasted 10 years"

Jerrys ex-wife patti quoted " My husband would take a bad sunset personally" and ALSO the fights started long before 1955..

Like that 'Together Again' tour, last time they were all really together. Thats got to be some classic, great footage. You see maybe a 5 minute clip of the concert pop up every now and then.....but i hear the reason thats never been released has something to do with family.

Honestly, Noone could pull of Jerry, when we see Jerry, we see the 9yr old kid and its believeable cuz we do forget were watching a man in his mid 20's. Jim carrey does catch Jerry in his later years but no1 can pull off the little 9 yr old..at least i dont think...i dont think anyone could pull off jerry period lol

Sean Hayes was perfect for Jerry Lewis, only other person i'd think would be right for the role is Jim Carrey, but Sean did well.

It's funny, but before I saw this movie, I thought there was something about Sean that reminded me of Jerry Lewis. Then I saw him in this and I was like, "Wow, he really looks like him!" It was a good movie!

You can get it on dvd but the only place that I've been able to find it is on ebay since it was never officially released but was put on dvd for emmy consideration but they can go for about 70 dollars on ebay.

Neither actor looked like the parts they were playin. especially Jeremy he looked NOTHIN like Dean. thank god they used his original music. Sean did a much better job as Jerry. then again who could possibly recreate these 2 men? thanks for postin.

No problem. The rest of the parts are coming, I thought that the bulk uploader had uploaded them all. I think it's a good movie, they could have picked someone better to play Dean, but that's just my opinion. As with any movie, it's not 100% close to reality, like the scene where Jerry hurts his back...but it's a good movie despite the anachronisms.
