It is inappropriate for Penny and Sheldon or indeed anyone to turn up to someones home or place and expect to be received positively. Especially with this kind of situation where Stan Lee actually has already done a signing and missing it you miss it. It would have been more reasonable for Penny to ask the guy from the comic book store to get an autograph from Stan Lee for her in that situation and offer money. Because it is more respectful to Stan Lee in my opinion that way.
