Lots of people know who Tesla is, even considering that he lived way before the internet.
Beck.. ehhh .. Electrifying blood!!? I will have to read up on that. I wouldn't know who Ron Paul was if it wasn't for the internet. When I first saw a video of him speaking, I was like WOW, where has this guy been hiding, AMazing.
The Republican national committee should get rid of its stupid race card puppet chairman, and learn to adjust to the demands of the tea party people. The old Rep party will never regain any majority.
You actually can cover more peole and not have higher spending. Look at other european countries they splend LESS on health care and cover everyone so it can be done.
Yeah, then again, they often deny care, have long waiting lists for critical procedures, and piggyback off of Research and Development done for drugs and treatments that Americans pay for, because we do not put price controls on medicine...... Yet.
And it's all crappy. Government can't even take care of most of their information, they lie constantly, and they barely get anything right. Medicare, FDIC, Medicaid, Social Security government programs are all going down the drain. If you don't realize that, look it up.
@zxcvbnmjhgfdsa1 except that most European countries have huge debt-GDP ratios and they are growing rapidly - Greece is on the verge of total bankruptcy. Another factor is that fact that the U.S. has been subsidizing European defense for the past 60+ years, a luxury for them that we can no longer afford. Once economic reality forces us to come home, they will once again have to find money to pay for their own defense budgets - and will spell the end of the fantasy of "free" healthcare.
Great interview, hitting all the right points and laying down the road map back to a better society where we can trust our neighbors and businesses in a free market and society rather than a mysterious government that never gets better because there is no effective and/or efficient trial-and-error motivation (symptom of monopolies). There is no competition in government
A lot more damage can be done over 8 years, including consequences, than can be done in under 2. Let Obama have his own problems, and there will be many. He won't need any of the blame that Bush deserves, that's a guarantee.
Ron Paul is the only one that can bring quick and significant changes to government, but they don't let him in debates, and media either doesn't give him coverage and/or manipulate his messages for the public. He's a danger to the shadow government.. But I REALLY hope he gets a fair run and gets elected for 2012!
Really the dollar would only have to lose 60-70% of its value to start a major currency crisis. This should be embraced. Once the system completely collapses, then we can start over with a solid foundation.
Brilliant. But also a bit shocking (at 7:35) where he says "we ARE going to face a horrendous financial crisis". Unfortunately, I have to agree. The bailouts, debt and money printing will continue until the obvious-to-everyone crisis occurs.
@strapt313 Rand Paul said he wanted Congress to declare war in line with the Constitution. What do ya know, he wants to constitutionally decalre war on an enemy Wow never heard of that. I guess he could be an asshole and support the president declaring war all by himself but he doesnt, he follows the constitution like he should since he is running for Senate. nothing you have said supports your feeling like you do about schiff and rand.
Well, I ask, what about the social issues? There`s a great divide there. Last one that I attended, there were all sorts-even frothing, rabid homophobes. Thank God for the 2nd amendment.
"We dont have to send all these ground troops in there, we dont have to occupy these countries, we can defend our country and defend our interests without pissing everybody off" - peter schiff.
He is going to Congress to save the economy not start new wars. Wake up, you still need votes to win. He said exactly what needs said... u saw the guy he was talking too agreed, and said he loved ron paul but his FP made him queasy.
So will the Southern Avenger ever let callers ask Ron Paul questions? I was kind of surprised that 2 tea partiers challenging Ron Paul for his seat did not come up.
FINALLY two people that understand that this is a government problem and not an OBAMA problem. Republicans need to take the party back from the filthy neo cons. It got started 3 years ago when rep did not vote for their incumbants. The next elections REAL REPUBLICANS will win.
peter schiff wants to bomb iran. rand paul wants to continue the war in afghanistan. ron paul needs to address these issues otherwise he will start to lose support from people like me.
no i'm not. watch rand pauls new campaign ad. listen to what schiff said about iran obtaining nuclear weapons. google. it. i'm a staunch ron paul supporter (with a bumper sticker on my motorcycle). ron paul also endorsed a set of neo-cons because he said he "had" to. crappy news, i know, but this needs to be addressed. i will not do what the left did and turn a blind eye to those who support war simply because i like my candidate.
yes you are I just watched the Rand Paul tv ad and all he said was he wanted military tribunals for the people we capture on the battlefield that is not endorsing the afghan War. i googled schiff as well and he supports it if there is evidence that they have nuclear weapons..got that he said if there is evidence he would support it. do some better research like i dont know watching the whole video you tell us to watch because its clear you didnt asshole.
schiff said he's inclined to believe iran having nuclear weapon could be a threat, but he also said the intelligence that lead to this impression is still somewhat lacking and questionable and it has to be more thoroughly studied before a real conclusion can be made, and the economic aspect of it also has to be taken into consideration. he was basically warning caution in front of a republican audience. he also said time and time again we should close bases all around the world.
instead of taking a grand stand to make a token difference with the neo-cons, how about you actually pay attention to his other supporters like me who actually didn't misunderstand what he was trying to say, as many like me have already offered explanations time and time again, but here you are acting like if nobody ever responded. being a ron paul supporter isn't just about a blind eye or not, it's also about paying attention and being smart. i encourage you to focus on the real things.
I'm becoming more libertarian conservative everyday, some this are still hard for me to swallow, but I'm still absorbing more everyday. I'm of the opinion that if you're going to fight a war fight it to win, otherwise don't fight it at all.
@nbenicewicz the beauty of Libertarianism is its' foundation of liberty. Dr. Paul has said, "It is not important that we all agree. It is important that we all be free." Bingo. That is the theme of the Founding of our Republic and the divided sovereignty resulting from the structure of government they gave us was meant to protect that authentic American diversity. Don't worry about agreeing with others on each point, only on agreeing on the principle of our common right to personal liberty.
I must say you are the least cynical person to respond to me. I've been watching Southern Avenger for well over a year, I agree with most of is points and ideals, most of the people whom have responded to me were very cynical and I mine as well have been Hilary Clinton. I like a lot of people believed Bush wasn't bad and thought he was doing right. Now looking back he wasn't so great. I hate war but should it be necessary to fight one, fight it to win.
Wars can be necessary, and if so, fight to win. But the real issue we face every day is one I characterize as "meddling". We don't like our neighbors being nosy and meddling in our lives. We shouldn't allow governments to meddle either. Every time we do we inch toward the tyranny of the collective and lose personal freedom. to Hell with that!
Bingo. The Neocons are northern statists, cut from the Imperial cloth of an Abraham Lincoln; aggressive abroad and despotic at home. We need the foreign relations policies of the Founders; don't meddle with anyone, trade with everyone, and don't allow anyone to screw with you or encroach on your borders without a response. But their policing the world and nation building: it's BS, plain and simple. Domestically: leave people the Hell alone unless they're breaking a law like stealing, etc.
I agree, we as a country have no business telling other countries how to live. I used to think America was a righteous country and doing God's work by spreading Democracy. Now I would rather have America spread Republicanism by leading by example. Not taking over countries and changing them. I used to think invading Iraq and giving them Democracy and Freedom was right. Now I would rather mind our own business and worry about ourselves.
no, logic is NOT allowed these days. a logical argument with the purpose of effecting social, economic, religious, or political change is defined as terrorism under the patriot act. its only selectively enforced so far, but the laws and precedents are there.
Tax and tax and spend and spend and elect and elect. The GOP wants to take over the Tea Party just like the evil oil tycoon who tried to take over the John Doe movement in Frank Capra's movie. Ron Paul understands this since the GOP machine throws primary candidates against him. The best solution is for Southern conservatives to become Democrats and divide the Evil Party.
