  • hey guys go on youtube ,under peter laquis 20b rx7,that guy haave two rx7 with 20b,700hp 556ft PUMP GAS,street car, stock 3rd gen gear box stock supension, and the car ran 9.78sec,street carwith 20psi boost, amazing i think, tell me what u guys think, and he builds and tune his self,he is from trinidad,i had the oppunity to talk to him on the phone ,humble guy and knows a lot about the 20b

  • where are you guys from? sound acadian

  • Whats the exhaust system on this?

  • how much fuel pressure is he running?

  • what kind of ecu? and what size injectors and turbo are you running?

  • Vraiment belle ta rx 7 mec,ta vraiment faite dla belle job!

  • he's selling this thing for $30,000

  • Err... Whats the 752hp number on the dyno chart from?

  • It's just # before correction factor.

  • So they are taking 307hp for correction? Either that dyno is off calibration like crazy. Isnt rwd correction something like 15 percent? So wouldnt that put them at roughly 640rwhp?

  • there are enough people who responded already that a BOV that is set too hard/tight/non-existent will make compressor surge.....

  • bov's are gay

  • @commando4500 BOV's stop yuu from ripping the turbine in yuur turbo to shreds :L they are pretty much a nessecity if yuur running more than 1 bar, but yuu could use a wastegate but BOV's are more efficient

  • @iSoNiXenterprises a wastegate is on the other side before the turbo ;) limiting how much exhaust goes through the rear of the turbo.

I don't run a bov and my turbo's as good as new....running 20pound, day in day out.

  • @commando4500 so yhh my point was they are both stop compressor surge :) personally i prefer BOV's :D

  • 500 hp are nothing for a 20b

    nice job btw

  • that is not compressor surge that bov is too tight for 10 psi its opening and closing rapidly

  • sorry buddy but that is the turbo stalling on the overrun, it definately has a BOV in there too but the flutter is from the turbo stalling not just the BOV, and it happens on ALL turbos when a bov is not fitted or is too tight, even perfectly matched turbos do it on overrun, its only on boost that a miss-matched turbo will give surge

  • Agreed, the sad thing is that many retarded wanabe tuners think that noice sounds cool.

    -_-

  • I hear no compressor surge. Do hear BOV sounds a little tight. All I can hear is the BOV opening and closing rapidly. You would never tune a powerful 20B with real comp surge. Real compressor surge comes from mis-matched turbine and compressor housings.

  • sweet 3 rotor, but that compressor surge is nasty.
