There is a link to it on my channel page...in pink. Go check it out. You might find some good peeps in there to give you more encouragement and inspiration. It's a really lovely gang of people.

  • love it really very much

  • Cool painting, cool shirt, good story! Liked it very much! I'm looking forward to your next video.

  • @Lotos61 Thanks, sweetie pie! This is an old video...I will be recycling them while I take a little time off from video making.....I've made one every week this year!

  • I love this painting! :D Great job Deb!

  • Thanks! This painting has been hanging on the walls of a doctor's office for the past year or more. He's a heart person.

  • Deb..you make me laugh so much...I wish I could hang out with you with a nice cold

bottle of wine...Love the large heart...looking at this I would say you have a large giving heart! Hugs Deb

  • I have NO doubts that we would laugh ourselves silly! I get the idea that we have similar Sensahuma.........heheheheh

  • i love your story, i love your paintings its such an inspiration for me keep it up thanks

  • THANK YOU, sweetheart! I appreciate you putting one of my videos on your Channel page! How awesome is that?

    xoxoxoxox

  • You are a trip I laughed though most of your video. I do love the piece but the store was too funny. I used to do that when I made dolls everyone would ask what's the story......................................

  • This was a tongue-in-cheek video, so I'm glad you laughed at it. I'm usually left scratching my head when people come up with these long, involved stories about what their paintings MEAN. And what they were thinking when they painted them. I must be clueless because I don't attach that much significance to my work...LOLOL!

  • wow I like it...it's a little imaginitively flat but....

I would really love to see a tryptich ms. debcoart =]

  • badass painting lady

  • Your art works always attract me!

How I wish I could get one of them!

May my wish comes true in this year 2009! I think I should ask Santa Clause to fulfill my wish! *^^* Thank you Deb. And Good luck always!

  • Thank you so much, honey lamb. You always make me feel so good. It's that karma thing!!!

  • Thanks for sharing...I like the art..

  • Thanks for watching and commenting on the abstract art!!!

  • beautiful painting

  • Oh my! I just looked at your channel closely and saw this fabulous paper mache work there! I couldn't leave a comment on the video that I watched because I have exceeded my limit, but I subscribed to your channel because I LOVE your work. It's radical!

  • Cool story! I think often we're creating simply to do it , without thinking about the purpose of the piece...and it's later that the true meaning comes together. Well done!

  • I think you are correctamundo on that point. Of course, when I look at your paintings, I can easily see that you have spent a long while working on your layout and composition. Perhaps you didn't have a true meaning to it, but you certainly did your planning ahead of time!

  • Fabulous piece, Deb. Amazing detail!

  • Hey, Pooz! How's it going for you, girl?

  • fantastic painting! is this on canvas? i liked your interpretation, i did this with a few of my paintings as well, but only for me. sigh you're always so creative. i feel like i'm stuck at the moment. i can't seem to find back to my painting/ drawing...

anyhow, cool video and greetings! ^^

  • Nadine, thanks for the comment. Yes, this painting is on canvas.

I'm not ALWAYS creative, believe me. Some people paint and draw almost daily, but I don't. I used to get freaked out about that, but now I realize it's better for me to relax and let the creative energies flow rather than force them. Within reason, of course. :D

  • Yeah, I guess you are right. Thank you, that helped me a lot ^^

  • ps..loved the story behind:)

  • Many thanks to you, sweetie pie!

You have such a lovely voice and your videos are cool. Nice way to showcase your talent!

  • Thats so awesome! I love the RED heart with the black and white. makes the heart in focus!

    You are sooo good!

    *****

    Hilde

  • love the painting deb also love how you just painted it with out any thought and just went with it. great story maybe you were creating the story with out knowing it. aw by the way i have done my first video its very rough and not so interesting but you gotta start somewhere dont you.

    Hugs crissi xx

  • Yes, I saw your first video and left a comment. Nice work, duckie!

Yes, I think you are right about the stories more or less being there with out us knowing it. There are LOTS of things going on around us all the time that we don't know anything about. Those alternate universes can be sneaky!

  • As always... very NICE!!! great video... five stars!

  • Thank you, GG! I didn't think this would be of interest to you because of the style, but I was wrong, obviously. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • You do such awesome work my friend. thankyou for sharing with me.

  • And I enjoy your rottie videos, too!

  • Debs ~ most of the comments here are true - this piece reflects your experience of life!

I dabble a bit in digital art myself as a hobby.

Not everyone can afford Photoshop but lately I have been using a free online image processor that has the same "blur" tool facility, a;;owing one to distort the pixels and blend colors ~ amazing stuff!

  • I used to have Jasc on my old pc, but when I got my Mac mini...no similar program was included. Perhaps I should check out your image processor since I want to make a banner for my channel and video pages. :D

  • Awesome work...I love that style.

    xo

    Kat

  • Thanks Kat!!!!!

  • I love it.. Its funny I have a sketch in my art book just like that using black and white.

    You are very talented. Justin

  • Justin, thank you. I see several art videos on your channel which I must check out. I'd love to see your sketch in the book at some point, eh? Funny how we sometimes think of these images and someone else is creating the same thing at the same time. Actually happens a lot.

  • Yes. :)

  • Love this! So glad to see your work!

  • Thank you. I saw on your channel that you are a PG Wodehouse fan. Oh my! One of my favs!!

  • Peter, I want to thank you for taking the time to watch my video and leave a comment. Did you know that you were one of my very first subscriptions when I joined YT over 2 years ago?

I'm so pleased that your popularity has continued to grow and expand here because you have such lovely videos and stories. Best to you, Peter!!

  • fantastic, bravissima! 5*****

  • Merci beacoups! xoxoxoxoxoxox

  • Deb, I loved your painting and your video. Painting can be sometimes an open door ato amazing lands in our inner view of life.

I honestly think it is a great way to open your eyes to your real soul. Thank you.

  • Thanks, David. I think art also opens other peoples' eyes to alternate realities.

  • That is so cool Deb! Every time I watch an art video I want to try a new technique!!

  • I know what you mean, Jan!!!

I do have to say, though, that painting with my feet the way that you do has never been something I wanted to try. First off, I can't get my legs that high in the air because I'm too fat. You make it look very easy!

  • I watch your art( this one and other on video) carefully, and it's difficult always to understand, what artist wanted to express. Your story let us to be more familiar with your art.Generally I can't see art like eg music-here I can say:good performance, good technic, profesional arrangement, voice etc.

There are not such objective criteria in art,I can only say "Simply I like it"-your abstract art.

  • Many thanks to you for your kind words about my abstract art.

I rarely create my abstract art with a set idea in mind. It just happens........

  • It comes from the heart :)

  • That it does, Peter. I started watching your recent video production video, but I have iMovie now and not WMM. It's a good instructional video, though!

  • yeah thats a good painting. peace. gregg

  • Peace to you, too, Gregg...and thanks!

  • any time!! ^.^

  • Hugs!

  • hugs back

  • Looks 3-dimensional. Nice work.

  • Thank you, Joe! I got a kick out of your wire-wrap video...you do beautiful work.

I took ONE jewelry making class...had to make a silver ring. By the time I was done, it was the size of a mouse toe-ring. I decided that jewelry making requires far more patience than I possess.

  • Depends on how heart is defined...but it is at the center of it all! Nice work.

    Bandis

  • Thanks, Bandis. It says on your channel that you moved to W VA in 2008 and died. How was the funeral?

  • aww it was ok I guess...but my relatives are very cheap...so it was kinda plain & drab :(

A lotta friends showed up though!!! :D

  • Love the video, love the painting, love the symbolic story! 5 stars for you, Deb!

  • And I love you, Kaz! Thanks for your friendship.

  • cool deb. 5/5

  • Thanks so much, Janet! xoxoxoxoxox

  • Interesting - thanks for the show! =)

  • Thank you. Have I told you how much I love your videos? Surely I must have. You are mega talented. Mega. :D

  • Fantastic! Beautiful composition. Loved seeing you work too.

    :o)

  • Thank you, Gary! I'm planning to upgrade to iMovie 09 so that I can do those time lapse videos at a later date. I find those fascinating.

  • Sweet,

  • And so are you. :)

  • David, I've been watching some artists here on YT do these different styles of pop art and I enjoyed them a lot. Check out Cakuart, Johnnysmooth, and Raeart. They are all making cool paintings in a similar style.

  • I like it very unique.

  • Thanks, hon. Are you still drawing? Haven't seen a new video from you in a while.

  • a very interesting piece. 5/5

  • Thank you, Peter. I was looking at your channel to see if I could find some of your artwork there, but I had trouble with the red on red. (I wear bifocals) Have you videoed any of your artwork?

  • I really love this one! In a way, it reminds me of my favorite of all the paintings I have of yours. I love your abstracts, and this one is truly stunning! Great video, too!

  • I knew right away you were talking about the Brain Damage artwork I did in honor of Pink Floyd. I THINK I have that collage in one of my videos here on YT.

I got your email and I'm seriously considering joining still!

  • cool!i like the painting!

  • Thank you for saying that!

  • you really developed a cool style, i love your art!!!

  • Thank you dude! That eyecon you now have is WILD!!!

  • I like your painting very much and your story is very creative. :)

  • Thanks Deb! I must have inherited my Dad's storytelling abilities...had no idea I could do that. :D

  • Very cool!

    Great job Deb!

    5/5

  • Duane! Thank you! And congrats on receiving the Lava Lamp for Christmas. I've had one for 7 years and many hours have been enjoyed with that neon glow permeating the air.

I even had a series of photographs I did featuring the Lava Lamp....all in black & white.

  • Cool, great interpretation,I never know what I'm painting or drawing most of the time when I do things like that I like the matching shirt too,Haha Maybe I should come to You to have My dreams interpreted.Time & Heart means everything

  • LOLOLOL I just watched your Cat Watches YouTube video. hahahaha! That one should be Featured.

And on your channel page: the Dr. Catsburger commemorative coin set? bwaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha How much are they selling for?

  • It loox great Deb! I like the texture on the heart. You said you dint think the emotions etc came from the heart but I spose we use the expression loosely. Its thought provoking, cuz we always say "I love him/her" (w/ all my heart). How do we differentiate the (emotion) "love from the heart", from the emotion anger, jealousy, hate. How do we determine, is our "heart", "mind" responsible for emotion &/or the decision to express it ? Very thought provoking Deb I give 5 :: paintbrushes :: ^_^

  • Thought provoking, eh? Well, I guess that's a good thing.

My personal opinion is that we as spiritual beings create our own emotions...whatever they are. Who knows for sure?

  • I also love your depiction! I love the texture on the heart, but I hope thats not a whole in your heart!

You make me want to be a better abstract artist, which means this wonderful painting and your story has pushed me to start ONE!!! In fact I may have to just do a video and respond here. :) LOVE YOU BABE! Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Oh boy, oh boy! I inspired you???? Well, that's quite a compliment. I can't wait to see what you create!!!!!!!!!!!!

The texture on the heart and throughout the whole piece are bits of the previous paintings (2) underneath. I do this routinely...redo paintings over earlier ones. It adds nice texture!

  • Got the audio this time. Fantastic! I just love the expression of your face at the end!

  • YAY, KK!!! Thanks for coming back to hear my rambling story. As for the facial expressions, they all come courtesy of Big Al, my father.

5 years ago I was caring for him in the final months of his life and I was taken aback at how much his expressions and mannerisms were mine!!! I had no idea I had inherited/copied him so much...it was uncanny. Even my mother said "You're just like your father"

I had great admiration for that man, so I'm pleased to be his clone. :D

  • i like the painting alot. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it as well.

    P.s. Kick ass jacket too

  • Thank you very much, bjg. That jacket you see me wearing in the video is one of my Magic Painting Shirts. I have about 3 videos on my channel featuring them and how I make them. :D

  • nice art

  • Thank you, sugar pie!

  • I love it I like ur art !!!

  • Many thanks, RJ!!!

  • very nice.

  • Thank you for watching and commenting, sweetie!

  • This is beautiful. Sorry, I don't watch football, but I'm happy you enjoyed it today. Youtube is community.

  • Glad you liked my painting, Bob.

Yesterday was a big day in the football world and both of the playoff games were nail-biters. I grew up on sports because my dad and 3 brothers played all of them. :D

  • i like your style and your opinions..great video

    hugs

  • Hugs back at ya, cutie!

  • Great Art!!

  • Thanks, Alek...glad you like the artwork!

  • Fun to watch - for some reason I couldn't get the audio... I'll try again later.

    KK

  • KK....oh no! You missed my story! :(

  • You have a big heart. i likes

  • Thank yee, CS!

  • It's nice to climb inside the artists head from time to time. Your never quite sure what you are going to learn about yourself.

  • hahahahaha! I used to think it would be wonderful to be a mind reader...and then I got into a couple people's minds and it changed my desire real fast. Here they were doing the same old thing as me: "Let's see, should I have the chocolate or the vanilla?"

  • cool :o) reminds me of my own life. lol

    Hugs, Irene

  • Hugs back at 'cha, Irene! That painting actually looks like my mind. I meant to say that in the video, but I forgot. One of my arrows crossed the other one, I guess. :D

  • I like this path you are on with your work. It made me smile, the honesty surrounding your "story". I think that most people that love art sees their own story in the work that may or may not have something in common with the artist's intentions. I have been viewing David Bowie's art lately and his piece "Child in Berlin" almost moved me to tears....not sure he felt the same or he would have never sold it, right? I KWYM lately about everyone having a "story" and sharing it with the public.

  • Snort, guffaw...that video of you with the hat and antlers is hilarious! Apparently you are having some fun up there......

  • Beautiful! I love your interpretation also!

  • Jeepers, that is epic, dude! Thanks!

  • Well Deb, that's what stories are made up for - to tell!! But it IS extraordinary how telling a story about something makes it "true". It's like casting a spell or something.

    Great shirt!

  • I suppose that is why the politicians can get away with the things that they do...they are supremely talented storytellers.

  • Love your painting, fantastic. The story was great too, makes things interesting!

  • Angie, I am happy that you like the painting and enjoyed my story!

  • lolz, Nice^^

  • Glad you like it, Moz. :D

  • cool

  • hugs and thanks

  • I know what you mean about phases... I've had so many already. I feel like 10 people rolled into one! lol

    A great piece :) :) :)

  • Amen to that! Those of us who have had wild lives and adventures have tales to tell, eh?

  • I love this story!! This is fantastic...and I thnk I may have forgotten to answer your Ed Hardy question. He is a designer who is really hott right now and your last video with the T shirts totally reminded me of his style!

  • Luckily for me, someone came along later and told me who Ed Hardy is. I still haven't googled him to find out what the similarity is. :(

  • Grey is my favorite color : D . LOVE IT..... I am so glad you talked about your paintng I find it very hard to do but you do a great great job...please do another one : D . I made my son an Urban Jacket last year with sharpie markers, but that jacket is off the chain : D

  • Hugs to you, C! I love grey, too. Especially when you get this little 'grey pile' in the middle of your palette when you paint with oils. Yumola!

I don't find the art storytelling to be an easy thing, either. I'm forcing myself to do it. I had a real struggle at the outdoor art shows because I would have to tell stories over and over all day long. Kill me now!

What does 'off the chain' mean? Must be some urban slang?

  • I love the 'story' of this painting, but i imagine anyone who buys a piece of your artwork can put their own story around the picture and that's a wonderful thing!

    :-)

  • :-) You little cutie pie! I just want to hug you every time I see your little smiling face in one of your videos. I must get over there and watch your window shopping video this weekend.

  • Thanks for your painting and thanks a lot for you story to say :))

  • Thank you, Lazaros. I'm glad that you understood my story. :D
