Thats not a bullet train. The N200 is the original bullettrain, because it looks like a bullet, not because its fast as one. The N200 run at "only" 210km/h. The train in the movie its a alstom pendalino ETR 600 Italien/French hybrid design have a top speed of 250km/h, thats not ethen twice as fast as the conventional 160km/h train.

This is part of the intermediat speed masstransport high speed railway, not the very highest speed.

The Chinese Bullet train is much better than plane, as you don't need to travel to the Airport.... most of the train station in China is close to the CBD. 4 hour to Beijing in a bullet train from Shanghai is lot better than 1.5 hour to Beijing from Shanghai, considering i can avoid the air port.

the first couple of trains were imported from Japan and Europe. But now, most of the bullet trains across China are made in China.

The Chinese did it in a smart way by letting 4 major train makers competing and setting up joint companies with local partners. So, shortly after that, the Chinese learned the technology and came up with their own trains with even higher speed.

If say, a German company wants to manufacture something in China, they must surrender to the government the design of the product(s) and China then reverse engineers the products legally and there's little Germany can do. The only reason foreign companies go with this is because they make a lot of money using cheap Chinese labor which increases profit margins at the expense of product safety.

In china it's Called CRH-5, there are other models of high speed trains from CRH-1 to CRH-3, but no CRH-4. This train in particular, the CRH-5 is based on Pendolino, and is contracted by French company Alstom to deliver something like 60 trains. This particular model is chosen to run at this part of China because the weather is very cold there, and this train have an admirable record and history of operation in Finland.

Actually I made a mistake! The fast trains in China today travel up to 200 kilometers an hour not up to 300.

Up to 300 kilometers an hour fast bullet trains are in Japan.

But China is planing to lunch up to 380 kilometers Supper Fast Train in a while. This will make travel from Shanghai to Beijing 4 hours, now it takes abot 8 hours.

China is moving really fast!
