  • Friends of mine teach there, it is quite a place.

  • These kinds of institutions are what will be needed to save "Western Civilisation." What we once could call, w/o irony, Christendom. I have become very pessimistic in recent years. I believe that our civilisation is coming for a profound comeupance. I don't think that THE world will end. I do believe OUR world might be in great danger. Maybe Pp. B. XVI can lead a kind of Hezekian revival, I hope & pray so. But he would be Isaiah in such a revival. Who'd be Hezekiah?

  • †Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam†

  • Nice commercial and all. The problem with all colleges is that they demand too much money for education. Within the next 100 years, college will be attainable only for the rich. That is the direction of modern colleges, more money, more money. It's only going to get worse in the future. I'm curious to see how bad things will get with US universities and their greediness. If we had priest and nun teachers in Catholic schools, colleges and Universities, education would be very affordable for all.

  • VATICAN II DESTROYED THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

  • Vatican II has not been fully and properly implemented. The Church is righting the wrongs of the liberal interpretations of Vatican II. Vatican II is good and holy. The problem is not Vatican II, but the extreme liberalism that is prevalent in the USA.

  • @1tontomato Tell me, is kissing the Quran,a book that specifically blasphemes Christ, righting a wrong? Is writing in the Catechism that muslims worship the same God and partake in salvation righting the wrongs? Is holding huge meetings with Pagans and Atheists righting wrongs? Is receiving blessings from Africa voodoo priests righting wrongs? If the Popes of the previous centuries could see the behavior of the church leadership today, they would have a heart attack.

  • @1tontomato Not to mention completely CHANGING the definition of "no salvation outside the Church". They like to dress up the language and call it a "reformulation" but anybody who knows what the previous Popes, Saints and councils have said on that issue knows that it is a complete alteration. Only done to make the Church more politically correct. The salt of the Church has completely lost its flavor.

  • Popes will come and go, blasphemies will happen, liberalism will continue to thrive in the Church, priests and nuns will resign, and sin will continue to exist among God's people in and outside the Church. But one thing we can all be sure of as Catholics and that is, our holy and Catholic Church has been, and will continue to be guided by the Holy Spirit until the Consummation of the Earth. For this reason, I will never leave the Church. The Bride of Christ is perfect.

  • @1tontomato Well, being Orthodox, I don't by that for one second. The Catholic Church has many innovations to it that were not known by the Fathers.

  • I'm not selling anything. If you're happy being Orthodox, great.

  • @AegeanKing The Catholics are taught that we are brothers with the Orthodox. And some Orthodox do treat us like Brothers, but all the Orthodox who boast with pride about how great they are descriminate and oppress Catholics .eg Russia and Belarus.

Thank God I am Catholic my Brother in Christ.

  • @yellowballpoets The catholics are taught many erroneous things. Your Popes kiss Qurans and hold councils with atheists and pagans. Your popes and bishops receive blessings from voodoo priests at "ecumenical" events and they also pray with heretics. . The Catholics tried to conquer Russia and destroy Orthodoxy with a crusade led by the Teutonic knights. Luckily, they were defeated by Alexander Nevsky. Orthodoxy boast that we have the true Church. Which is true.

  • @yellowballpoets Your schismatic Church even teaches in the Catechism that muslims, people who deny the divinity of Christ, share in salvation. Not to mention they completely changed the meaning of "outside the Church there is no salvation".

  • @AegeanKing So that Conspiracy theories, ecumenical meetings with different cultures and a War that happened hundreds of years ago make it ok for the Orthodox Church in Russia and Belarus to descriminate against Catholics?

    Are you a Christian?

  • @yellowballpoets No, it doesnt make it ok. However, what is ok, is to fight against missionary activities of Catholicism in those countries. If Catholicism is a heresy, which it is, than it is the duty of the Church to put an end to it. Lastly, there are no conspiracy theories in what I said. Its all backed up by fact. Check your catechism and see how your Popes hold councils with heretics and pagans.

  • @AegeanKing If we don't talk to them, how are we going to convert the pagans and the heretics?

Should we descriminate and hate too?The Bible says x365 'do not be afraid'.I have sent most of my life in Africa with pagans and Muslims and I grew to love my Catholic faith and its Christian message to bring the fullness of Christ to all.

  • @yellowballpoets You are no talking to them to convert them. The pope receives blessings from voodoo priests with open arms. In fact, the Pope himself said we shouldnt try and convert the Jews and said that the Jewish interpretation of scripture is valid.

  • @AegeanKing <<<Your schismatic Church even teaches in the Catechism that muslims...

    Catechism of Catholic Church:

    Art 2 #161

    The necessity of faith

Believing in Jesus Christ and in the One who sent him for our salvation is necessary for obtaining that salvation. "Since "without faith it is impossible to please [God]" and to attain to the fellowship of his sons, therefore without faith no one has ever attained justification, nor will anyone obtain eternal life 'But he who endures to the end.'"

  • @182RG #841 CCC: The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day." The Catholic Church teaches that Muslims worship the same God and share in salvation. That is clearly false and goes against what previous Popes and Saints have said.

  • @AegeanKing

"That is clearly false and goes against what previous Popes and Saints have said."

Only God could make such a statement. Are you God?

You are claiming that all Muslims believe in a God different from the only God that exists. Why would you make such a claim when only God knows what is in the heart of man? You don't know that ALL Muslims believe in a different God. Many Muslims have not heard of Jesus yet you claim otherwise. It sounds to me like your heart has been hardened.

  • @AegeanKing <<<<The Catholic Church teaches ... share in salvation.

    Part 1

A number of Protestant theologins also say the Allah of Islam is the same as our God. Granted, their understanding of God is different. Do you also say the Jews worship a different God?

Do you not understand the RCC teaches God's PLAN for salvation includes ALL men, even atheists?

Read more of the Catechism and learn the TRUTH; not what psuedo Christian websites tell you.

  • @182RG All things are possible with God, all men can be saved. That does not mean that the Muslim god is the same as ours.

  • @AegeanKing

    Part 2

The necessity of faith in Christ:

Catechism of RCC Article 161 "Believing in Jesus Christ and in the One who sent him for our salvation is necessary for obtaining that salvation. Since without faith it is impossible to please God and to attain to the fellowship of his sons, therefore without faith no one has ever attained justification, nor will anyone obtain eternal life 'But he who endures to the end.'"

  • @AegeanKing The Catholic Church most certainly does not teach that claptrap.

  • Looks fantastic, except for the fact that i do not believe in god ;/

  • I don't believe in crime but it exists. There are many things people don't believe but they do exist. It's like the wind that we breath, it's invisible, it's free, no man creates it and yet it gives us life for free without asking for it. All you have to do is study nature and ponder all the living creatures on this one planet called Earth. The only planet with intelligent life :)

  • Considering that Catholics invented higher education and universities, it's sad that a place like this is so rare! Speaking from Ireland, "The Land of Saints and Scholars" the only universities open to me are pointlessly, bigotedly secular. Great video. Inspiring college.

  • @DCDUO I would dispute that. The Eastern Orthodox had academies and Universites in the Byzantine Empire. In fact, the East never went through any "dark ages" like the West.

  • I live in a place full of atheists and i am sick of the stupidity of the teenagers my quest is to go to a school like this...Hail our glorious catholic church !

  • The only thing I didn't see here was the Byzantine liturgy. The fact that the College has the wisdom to include Eastern worship in its cura animarum alone makes WCC a unique place. Ad multos annos.

  • I know it was not intentional, but I think I saw only one African-american (maybe) and only one Asian. I know this has happened naturally and that you do not artificially make it happen, as you should not. But others who see this and who are wrong-minded about such matters will miss the beauty shown here because of this fact. To me, that makes them to be wrong-minded and lacking, it speaking of them if that is all they take note of, it not speaking of any lack in your school. But still . . .

  • @jwmcmac But still what? You answered your own question. Freedom and equal opportunity isn't good enough for you? Would you impose upon these good people your personal vision of "morality"?

  • @rlaycock

No, I would not impose anything on them. They have a great College. But still . . means I ran out of the 500 characters allowed.

I didn't propose anything to these people . . in saying they had maybe one African-american and only one Asian in this advertisement . . which implies nothing wrong, at least not to me.

To me, this is a beautiful college. Amazing. I would love it. I don't believe in quotas, but still . . the people we have voted into office lately they do. Blessings .

  • @jwmcmac No Blacks, that's a plus. Look at all the benefits they have brought to the rest of the country. Get over yourself. Blacks are 13% of the population and 50% of the crime. Time to open your eyes.

  • @gekko14 Ridiculous and un-Catholic comment, unless you're not Catholic.

  • College done right!

  • All that is most Excellent about our Catholic Faith. All that is most Excellent out of America. All that is most Excellent in Western Civilization. It's a beautiful and rare thing.

  • Oh how different life would be if I had the opportunity to attend such an amazing college when I was 18. Only Grass Roots can tell the story of such an extraordinary school that makes us all want to be 18 again choosing a College.

  • @steffiemax300 Amen.

  • I love my Dominican Catholic Alma Mater, but this would have been an incredible experience. Maybe my kids will go there someday!

  • This video is very inspiring. Beautifully done. Thank God for another orthodox Catholic College and for talented film makers.

  • While Notre Dame and Georgetown succumb to the secular culture, authentic Catholic Colleges will survive and grow...

  • I am a huge fan of both schools, I have family members and parents who have gone to both, but I agree. Some changes should be made there, but they are still both wonderful schools that still teach the faith

  • Wyoming is beautiful. Miss it.
