Id love to go. But truth is that Fiji is highly deforested due to intensive plantations for two centuries. One of the larger Island nations between Polynesia and Melanesia an interesting place. Many people are poor and sold out of their land. Ethnic tensions between different peoples, indigenous and decendents of imported indian crop workers. The Fijian dictator keeps a relative peace by being hardhanded on all sorts of rioting. Fiji shows how the world crowding future will play out in practice.

There is no such thing as a Paradise, not in Fiji or anywhere else. Once you over-commercialise the islands, you begin to go down hill with population growth and pollution to go with it. Paradise does not even exist in the so-called after-life, its illusionary, existing only in the mind of Man. Visit any place where no one had been before, you'd be very impressed with its natural beauty, so it applies to any island in the Pacific, but no need to call them Paradise !!
