Annoying that I searched for Canon 5D MkII and came up with this waste of space. Why say this is the 'guest star'.... and then hardly mention it other than to patronise most people by saying we don't need it because we are not good enough to use it!!!!
For those who are wondering, this is a fantastic camera, superb video rcamera also and you do NOT have to be an expert to use it. The price is not the cheapest but the results are way better than cheaer cameras and videos.
When you say cheap Ed, do you mean cheap for you or cheap for us ? I know your teaching is good although I give up on the videos. Is it any surprise that there are more Mac users on the 30DC with all the relentless promotion of everything Apple but it still means 50% don't use Mac's and 82% don't on Stompernet where there is probably less Apple advertising. What is it that you have about dealing with the majority ?
plopmeaner, Sorry dude Mac's and marketing go hand in hand. Like Ed said that opened my eye's. Are you a pro are a novice. When making a living with internet marketing use the best and fastest equipment. Remember time is money. So the faster a video gets made the quicker it can be uploaded and making money.
Is it just me and do most of your video's have no content. Yes you may be great and have lots of followers than hang on your every word but how about a video that you can do something with ? Mind you with all of those cheques coming in from Apple promoting everything they do you are probably not to worried about content. When will you get the fact that a huge majority do not own an apple product. Give the majority of people something that they can actually do something with. 30Day+..When? Cost?
According to thirty day challenge logs 50% of our audience are now using mac -and that is for sure in the high range - Last time I asked stompernet -they were at 18% - If the PC produced the best products for info marketing - id rave about that!
As a 100% PC user (feed kids vs. buy Mac, hmm), I kind of enjoy feeling like a minority - it's quaint. Maybe a little humble pie is good for us PC snobs, eh? Plus, we are not left out - there are tool options given and, if you really pay attention, there are other tips on usage that don't depend on technology or gadgets. I'd take checks from Apple, the Government, or even you if they're being offered... ;)
I'm getting ALITTLE annoyed by two things you do Ed...
1. It's starting to seem like your getting paid to wear those shirts, lol
2. while the info / copy of these videos is always interesting, there's actually almost no content... like, we get it with the camera. In 7 minutes, I want to be taken behind the scenes!!
These videos are telling you what to expect in thirty day challenge plus - I sent out a report on Friday which was pure content to let you know what you can expect inside the program
Ed, I just love to hear about accountants defenestrating themselves. So you are going to do the 30DC self contained each month? Hey, just don't forget you have a family! ;)
Hi Ed, great to see some natural bokeh in the video, something that usually only comes with very expensive film camcorders. I have a similar effect with my Panasonic HVX200 with an SGPro 35mm lens converter with some great old Canon FD lenses bolted on. HVX does need lots of light though, so pretty I'm really impressed to see the Canon produce that colour rendition in such low light conditions.
Great job mate, it'll only get better from here - I loved it.
When you have this video alongside some of your other videos, the quality of the Canon 5D mkII is easy to see. There's a richness and warmth to the colour even with the low lighting.
Thanks for the video. Looks good for a video filmed in the dark. Only issue is it seems the changing light from the TV in the background is effecting the very light sensitive camera and causing inconsistencies. Great clarity even with the slight off focus (maybe just youtube).
to emphasize, I deliberately kept the room dark to test the capabilities of the camera, I also used a crappy 50 mm F1.8 lens - which you can pick up for a 100 bucks at Amazon - this is insane! Oh BTW!! That sound, straight into the unit it has stereo external mike capability, I didn't use it. Like I said, stunning.
Hello eddale
I have to admit I am very impressed with the quality of your videos here on youtube.
They are certainly a pleasure to watch as I do enjoy them.
I am sure there is many others who also feel the same about your videos.

I googled the camera: "The Canon 5D mkII"
All i'm getting is what looks like an slr, not a video camera. There must something i'm missing from the model number to search for it?
chrismarx85 3 years ago
Thats the point - its an SLR!! Wait till you see what I do with quality lens and decent lighting!!

Wow, great looking video, lighting was a bit wonky at times but picture quality was amazing. Very excited about tdcplus.
