rmclock ftl. Got enough crap to deal with....coretemp...afterburner...etc. But it works even better on my athlon II x2, it goes down to a minimum of 1ghz, and that is with a very basic 3.5ghz overclock.
I overclocked my 4800+, to 3ghz, 100% stable, from 2.5ghz, on stock cooling! Only saw like 2-5c temps increase, thats with 12.5x 240mhz. At 3.0ghz. Prime95 ran for about an hour-two, and everything was great. Tryed it with 3.2ghz, unstable, will consider 3.1ghz, and give it a shot! Great overclock for stock cooling and the (25%) increase in performance :D:P!:P:D!:P:D:!:D:P!
to stabilize the x2 5000+ you have to lessen you ram spd while raising the voltage. Just keep in mind DDR2 does not like to get more than 2.2V however the athlon can take 1.55 without an issue. Build a 5000+ rig for my lil (girl which is currently 3.2Ghz 100% stable in Vista x64 (48hrs of OCCT testing)
2x 8800gts 640Mb in SLI + 4Gb ddr2 800 (clocked to 633) she got a 3dmark vantage score of P14080which is not too bad at all considering its a 4 y/o build.
Because there's no way (on my motherboard at least) to have varying voltage while set to a higher level. Still, lower clock = lower power consumption, even at the same vcore.
It's an old socket 939 3800+. Believe me it's a rather good overclock for that chip. The multiplier isn't unlocked unless you consider only lower multipliers unlocked "unlocked."
I can't find any links to cool n quiet. Can you guide me to it? PLEASE
I have windows 7
ECS A740GM-M
AMD Athlon 4850B

what cool'n'quiet does?
zfkdaniel 1 year ago
this is fail
he didnt even adjust the vcore with different pstates
e6800xe 2 years ago
Lol, youfail.
Was just showing cooln'quiet still scales, no way to do the different pstates in bios anyway. I don't want to run rmclock on the side
thealsir 2 years ago
theres no point in cool and quiet if your vcore is high as shit
lower vcore does much more to reduce heat than a lower clock does
e6800xe 2 years ago
Cool n quiet reduces your vcore also. it just lowers the clock speed to stabilize the vdrop

i overclocked my amd x2 5000+ to 3GHz and its still stable, but around 3.2 it gets unstable and won't boot.

I have AMD Athlon x2 5000+ how much I can overclock ?
bmxismylife123 3 years ago
Me too.. i OC mine to 3GHz

how much u want but make it burn lol
like 3GHZ is ok
xK3Vx10 2 years ago
Thats not overclocking, thats multiplier stepping to safe energy. In fact your underclocking...
SpeedDennis 3 years ago
Nope, look more closely, it's a 3800+ overclocked from 2GHz to 2.5GHz with SpeedStep still enabled.
thealsir 3 years ago
I see I see :)
SpeedDennis 3 years ago
Why would you enable cool and quiet while you lock your Vcore :S.
You are just under clocking your cpu with high voltage.

where do u get that program? I have AMD phenom 9500 how can I overclock it?

what chipset do you have, mobo, and is it black edition or normal?

lol hardly the voltage is the same.
slaterking1000 3 years ago
Actually on this implementation the voltage doesn't change.
thealsir 3 years ago
i no. thus the heat and energy usage stays the same.
slaterking1000 3 years ago
No, heat and energy usage goes down when clock speed goes down too.

I got mine running at 2.81 Ghz. Yes its running on AMD X2 Brisbane 4000+

lmao,
ok,
lets have a online battle ok.
ill do a everest video ok.
but you need to be clocked at 2.5ghz ok.
bongman4ghz 3 years ago
uh i dont wanna underclock from 3.0ghz lol
gravediggmn 3 years ago
np.
bongman4ghz 3 years ago
run everest ok,
then upload a video of all your score,s
simple
the brisbane has less transistors witch means less performance ill will destroy your chip at the same clock speed,

oh yeah and ill do it tomarrow
