  • When asked in an interview with Mahtob she DID say she would like to see her father again, but "Behind Bars" for what he did to her and her mother. Nobody should be held captive or against their will. If he loved his daughter then why would he take her to a violent country? So that she may have a husband who beats her as he beat her mother? No my friends, this man and the ideals of these people are a disgrace to humanity! Good job for escaping the clutches of a vicious tyrant!

  • He could traveled his ass to the US and visited his daughter. He would have had parental rights here and could come and go as he pleased. I see little criminal bitch ass stayed in Iran.

  • The little girl remembers whatever happened when she was little..we can say that Betty is wrong or right or we can say her Father is telling the truth or not...that little girl went through this and no one can say that her mom brain washed her..b/c that young girl lived it! She will grow up and make her own decisions on what happened..you can't fool little kids..they are smarter than we think...

  • Just the fact that she had to make a dangerous escape

from this 'man' says it all. She could have left without

her daughter, but she was prepared to risk death to save

    Mahtob!

  • @Jeanne90275 Really? If she hated the guy so much that she had to jeopardize her life, why is that she is still carrying his name? Why didn't she change her name? It is all about business. By changing her name, then she will lose her identity as a victim so her books would not be sold. It is all about making money.

  • i go to these types of videos just to read the comments :3

  • We are quick to judge, we believe what mass media says!!! We only know one side of the story, and that's it. Let's review: based on the book- "Not Without My Daughter" Dr. Mahmoody lost his job at the hospital back in US and at that time, as an Iranian, he was discriminated against, especially during the Iran-Iraq War. Betty Mahmoody probably was not happy and ditched him, came to US, made up the entire story, wrote a book and a movie, made lots of money. See it works both ways! DON'T JUDGE!!

  • Do the crime, u do the time. The truth lies with his daughter and the fact that in an interiew with her she said she may want to see him one day, but from behind bars, this speaks volumes

Stop trying to make this another political , poor Iran issue. One of your people did a terrible thing.

Admit it and move forward. People all over the world do terrible things every day.

  • @msdrpsdurham He may have done a terrible thing. However, you are acting as a prosecutor and a judge! You have heard one side of this lousy story and you convicted the other side. What happened to the slogan, which claimed everybody is innocent until proven guilty? what court has ever looked at this case?

  • i feel sorry for him , i would had loved to see him and his daughter be together. i know what he did was very bad but she could had go in finland for 1 week and see him, and than go back. and now he is dead, and that will never happend. ;(

  • @pianoblanc123321 You seem to know all facts:-) Really? How? The question is who knows what he did and what he did not do. All you know is a garbage that was sold to Americans as facts.

  • Not nice for me to say this but he did it to himself by mistreating his ex-wife and holding them hostage in country where she and their daughter did not want to be. I would also read Betty's book "For the Love of a Child."

  • @TheLavish99 He may have done bad things but she did not need to make a book of it and making a whole people look bad.

  • @Iranianoilbourse What she wrote was the truth, and if what she wrote makes Iranian culture looks bad, maybe it is. It's unfortunate for the Iranian people that the truth embarrasses them. Maybe they should examine what their own problems are instead of lashing out at those who offer truthful criticism.

  • @MissAPierce How do you know? Other than the book she wrote, what other facts you are referring to? Have you ever once asked yourself what were her motives to say what claimed to be the facts? Has anybody challenged her on those?

  • @MissAPierce HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT SHE WROTE WAS THE TRUTH? WERE YOU THERE???? YOU GUYS ARE QUICK TO JUDGE JUST BY HEARING ONE SIDE OF THE STORY!!! EVERYBODY IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN ...I REPEAT... PROVEN GUILTY! THANK YOU FOR YOUR IGNORANCE!

  • @MissAPierce It's a fact that this book and movie is a propaganda against Iran. most part of the story is just lie and with too much exaggerations. If Betty is totally right and has nothing to hide, why she censored Mahtob and didn't let her to contact her father even by email or phone? I wonder how some people think that everything made by medias is absolutely right and believe so easily just based on a book or movie, and think black and white without looking also to the other side of story.
