  • I'm glad I lived in Cleveland in those days and had someone like Ghoulardi in my life.......He's been a lifelong influence

  • nothing can compare to Ernie back then. I grew up with Ghoulardi hosting those old horror shows. He was the best.

  • These were my first art lessons, 1963

  • Friday nights were best. "Cool it with a Boom-Boom."

  • On Saturday,Ghoulardi would repeat a little material from his Friday show for the benefit of viewers too young to stay up that late even on weekends.(I was one of them for a while.I was only 8 when he debuted-but within a year I was at least trying to stay up on Fridays-although I seldom saw the entire Friday show.)

  • OVA DAY !

  • these zines that were sent in are amazing! why dont people make zines anymore ):

  • @methogonzo I'm afraid the answer is the screen you're looking at. Who once made zines now have blogs.

  • Great you have these. He was way before my time. BUT I'M the first and only FEMALE host to come outta Cleveland! And he had people helping him, I have no crew at all. Come to blogtalkradio to hear my show, info on page here.

  • Love it, group!

  • Fantastic! The chid'n sending in thier drawings back then were so good. During the Ghoul's days the kids were a little less artistically inclined and by now, you can walk into even a 5th grade classroom and see the crapola generated by riddlinned-up kiddies who can use the internet, yet cannot even color inside the lines, much less create original artwork.

  • gotta love it anyway! Speaking of art, I'm an artist and will be at the ghoulardifest! :D
