Thanks Indibelle, one of the best not only of Jimi's but IMHO all songs. It's epic, lyrical and extremely dynamic. It is unfortunate that "1983" apparently can't be posted in entirety because the climactic ending is the finishing touch. All should seek the entire song. It wasn't performed live largely because Jimi not only wrote and arranged it, but performed vocals, rhythm and lead as well as bass (not Noel)and only Mitch is in accompaniiment
