Dave's never had a floyd on his V's. I'd never have a floyd on my guitars because its too unpractical when compared to the benefits. Especially as a rhythm player, which Mustaine essentially is.

@TurkeyTuck Paul isn't really much of a metal player. He's more of a hard rock guy, which is fine...but it's not like it's Metal Mike or anything reviewing the guitar. He's not a guy who bases most of his playing style around ultra tight tremelo picking and power chords. Thus, he's really not the best equipped to review these types of instruments. Livewires have crappy mids and weak lows. Andy Sneap pretty much forced the 81/85 combo on Dave during their recording sessions.

hey dingle, I have a guitar that has EMGs, and when they we're installed, he put a cheap looking 9v battery for them and it didn't really sound that great. @heavymedlarruti666 well, according to Dave, the Dean signature is very similar to the model he played with Jackson, but it's a heavier instrument so it sustains better, and you can pretty much match the tone off of any classic Megadeth album with either instrument. You'd probably save money with Jackson, but it really is all up to what you prefer playing, so check em both out.
