  • the refit was the best look.

  • I love that "Beautiful Starship" as well. :)

  • what does USS stand for?

  • @spike378 'United States Ship' I believe.

  • @spike378 then what does the federation stands for? A united earth so how come every single space ship has USS in front of it?

  • @spike378 United Star Ship, Roddenberry patterned it after the US Navy's United States Ship and turned it into United Star Ship.

  • @spike378 United Star Ship.

  • nice want one but these prices.. there is also a battle damaged one of the a, and a clean and battle damaged wrath of khan ship want this and the khan battle damage with speech but it was a limited edition and is getting expencive

  • The Refit NCC-1701 and NCC-1701-A (same 8ft studio model) used in the first 6 Star Trek movies were based on a redesign of the orginal TV series Enterprise for the planned Star Trek Phase II TV series which ended up being cancelled so that a movie could be made. The redesign was based on ideas from Matt Jefferies who designed the orginal Enterprise and was asked to if he would like to correct items he felt he didn't get right first time round. The result...The best Spacecraft design ever!!!!

  • yh u dont no much do ya lol

  • duuuude thise are mega big engines wow!

  • Art Asylum > Playmates. I thought Playmates did a decent job on their JJprise, UNTIL I dug out my Art Asylum Enterprise A. There's no comparison.

  • I agree , it's a good model, however I purchased the 1: 100th scale released by Bandai a few years ago (2002)...

  • the uproar over the jjprise is this. jjprise is supposed to be the original series ship. this ships design is well loved and noone wanted it changed except abrams. the enterprise from the movies is an modernized ship it fits with the series. as at the time the old enterprise was in need of modernization. not to mention as you say the ship looks awesome the new ship looks retarded.

  • robert Prevost <3 him

  • This one BEAUTIFUL! The one from the recent movie looks stupid!

  • Way back in the '70's we were waiting for ANYTHING new Trek so there weren't any complaints about the new redesign.!

  • Nice model!!

  • I LOVE the A. It was so sleek, balanced and aerodynamic. The saucer was equally proportioned with the secondary hull and nacelles, and it just looks like its ready for action! The backward slanted nacelle pylons make the ship look like it was built for speed, like a starship Ferrari.

  • It's perfect except for the gap which connects the nacelle pylons to the secondary hull.

  • once my stand broke

  • I got the same one

  • I agree that is the best module ever made... I compared it to the next gen back in 1987, and I thought that the Enterprise D was an UGLY Bastard along with it's alien looking Captain!!! The motion Picture 1979 was all about the 1701-A module and even today it still looks awesome to me, but then again I am OLD School now...

  • good review the enterprise-a is my favorate ship to

  • The U.S.S Enterprise NCC-1701-A was seen in Star Trek IV The Voyage home.

  • I love the design of the refit Constitution class. Looks pretty damn fast

  • I don't know why, but I like the original Enterprise Refit better.

  • The Enterprise D is biger

  • I wish I could have gotten my hands on this ship. I can't find it anymore on eBay and even back when I could find it, the price was ridiculous. I'm not paying $80+ for a TOY that will spend 99% of its existence on my shelf/desk.

  • It is clear that you are an enormous human being, but if you had any conscience at all, you would quit tossing the crew around inside that ship, and let them get back into orbit! Oh the humanity!! :)

  • werwe did you get this

  • did hotwheels make this?

  • haha i had the same stand issue happen to me with a klingon bird of prey ^^ made me feel like a idiot for a while =/

  • Yeah no side of gay please

  • Yeap no side of gay please

  • Where do you get these models? I wanted to get a model like this or any other Star Trek ship's model for years but they dont sell them in my country :(

  • i cant find enterprise A no where.

  • I think the main compliant of the 2009 design was that it did not look like how the Enterprise should at that point in the timeline, but then they explained the difference in design by the timeline being changed with 24th century technology so it is in effect a TNG era constitution class vessel.

  • Never mind, Art Asylum USS Enterprise A. Circa 2004 - About $300.00 or more on Ebay or other sites. No longer made. :( FGDI!

  • Where did you get this ship from? Is it a model or some playmates version?

  • My favorite of all the StarTrek ships. Second is the Reliant :)

  • Does this one light up if you press the bridge for 5 seconds?

I know the "1701 Refit" and the 1701+Battle Damage does only LOOP all the sounds

but i want the lights to stay on without the sounds.

so if the light only glows if the sounds play -> NO GO :(

If the lights stay on -> NEED!!! :)

    PM me plz!

they should make a DS9 with lights, my AMT/ERTL one is getting old :-(

  • The best version of Enterprise EVER!

  • luckily just the stand broke when "something" fell on it and not the ship too

  • I totally agree. By far the best looking of the Enterprises.

  • 2:53 - "Captain! Our starboard impulse Engine is down!"

lol, sweet collection man! Never give it up~!

  • hey @Nightslash2020

were you able to get the ball joint out of the bottom? and how long have you had the enterprise-a?

  • This Enterprise, the refit NCC-1701, and the Enterprise NCC-1701-E are truly my favorites!

  • The problem with the new one is the it is too much like this one when it should be closer to the TOS version

  • i so want her badly :D

  • I WANT THAT ONE omg and i didnt no that the first ncc-1701 is from the star trek movie one -three then four is at the end was A.. b was in star trek generations and c was only in one stng episode yesterdays enterprise D is stng and e is star trek first contact to nemises

  • I also used my Ent-A in a school presentation once.

  • I have that ship also, and my stand broke, too. However, I got the ball out.

  • I like the TNG "All good things" enterprise and the NCC-1701-B Enterprise from Star Trek Generations ;)

  • thats my favorite ship design. its perfect xD

  • This version of the Enterprise was never in the series, but that's ok. this is my favorite incarnation of the ship too.

The guy in the vid is too twitchy, He could be my son. I have four and they all act like this guy. My mom might say that I did too when I was younger, but I would deny it.

  • the enterprise A is my favorite ship to

  • I have the fiber optics Enterprise A, would like 2 get the polar lights Enterprise.

Thought new movie was good, but wished they did a Back 2 the future 2 restore timeline.

  • i love the mold on the enterprise a its my favorite and so is the enterprise e and the one from the new move

  • nice

  • Just pissed off about the "alternate" timeline bullshit. As far as it's concerned, neverything we have known about Star Trek since 1966 no longer exists.

  • This was released back in 2003 and it cost a bomb now!!! I had no choice but to get the NCC-1701 Wrath Of Khan Refit which looks basically the same except that its without the A in the registry and with a better looking paint job as well as better details.. Still, I regret not getting this when it was first released in 2003..

  • @imranbecks You can still get this ship on Amazon for $39.94 . Kirk yells Khaaaaaaaaaaaaan KhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaN

    Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!

  • why is it only one light on the impulse engines light up. did it come that way.

  • Looks fantastic from any angle.

  • This will always be my favorite starship to bear the name Enterprise.

  • It's beautiful.

  • @BigKnGa It is very beautiful.

  • excellent ship for sure.

  • this ship is awesome! the 2009 ship is fucking ugly!!!

  • I agree the whole movie was pitiful.

  • i got that ship but its the original refit

  • i agree too

  • I Agree! "Stop it, stop complaining!!" :D

  • That review was awesome! Right amount of enthusiasm and jokes (something sorely lacking in other, similar reviews) and a nice snapback to all those damn trekkies who whine about the silliest things. That had a very Seth Rogan feel to it -- good job!

  • i've got the Ncc 1701 Refit from Wrath of Khan i think the Enterprise A is cooler

  • Its actually the U.S.S. Yorktown refurbished with a different name.

  • @ewtng I have mr. scotts guide to the enterprise and it said that the 1701-a was the uss tiho not the yorktown

  • @ewtng Why do you have to get nitpicky?

  • @ewtng Still better looking than anything Jar Jar Abrams and company will ever come up with!

  • legendary lol yet a real badass i mean hell this Entperise could have owned both the TOS and the st11 movie versons XD if ya all know what i mean by that XD.

  • Graceful yet majestic....best by far!

  • i have that u.s.s enterprise but its from star trek 2 it has no a b c or even d its just ncc-1701 the refit enterprise.

  • This has been and always shall be...my favorite ship...lol star trek quote in me formish...Great video...Five Stars.

  • I have only one word to say about this ship, repeated over and over. Om!!!! Om!!!! Om!!!!

I would give my soul for this ship!

I would also like to see a mega version of this! With every phaser turret a button which controlled stuff from deflector colour (brown/blue) to sounds.... Mwuhahahha total light control! You know what I mean!

  • i sooo want one to come out in the UK badly it look soo good i look different to thw Wrath of Khan version the colour of the a it darker to the wrath of Khan verson

  • I pulled you over because your right sub light engine was out. 2:52

  • lol

  • I thought those impulse engines for awhile were actually brake rights. make sense cuz there red right? :D jk haha

  • I have this ship myself, got it back in December of 2003, and it's still one of my favorites. :D

  • The Wrath of khan version looks the same but it is way more detailed.

  • Im sorry but Im one of those complainers!!! this -a-version looks like a battle ship ready for action. the 09 movie version loks like a slipper with a suacer. Its the neck soo far back leaving a big overhang up front. and the nacells mount low. but I do like the rest. but in the theaters. no one was clapping for the gand shot of the new enterprise. sorry man. but I still give 4 stars...

  • The Enterprise is not by nature a battle ship. The thing I like about Trek more than anything is exploring the unknown....NOT huger space battles and explosions.....you want that, go watch Star Wars or something.

  • I wasnt commenting on the story but the design!!- the design of the enterprise-a looks more like a battle ship. not the entire series stories??? Im not a big fan of staqr wars past the first 3 original movies either...

  • I've got that one. it's really cool.

  • That is my fav ship in all Star trek

  • same here.

  • nice (-: !!!!!!

  • I want one! So sad that they don't make em anymore. Just the right size too. Big enough for details but small enough that you don't have to devote an entire desk/whatever to displaying it

  • Don't they? Check out Entertainment Earth. It might not be the A, but it looks the same!

  • I like this ship better than the origonal it looks ace

  • It's funny, I got this Enterprise at the Meijer near my house for $5, and one flaw that I noticed about the toy itself is that the Warp Nacelles are supposed to light up, judging from the review, it's probably a common flaw.

  • Your 2009 Enterprise review is much better. This is just you playing with the model and mumbling to yourself for 4 minutes.

  • Enterprise REFIT from the motion picture was the best starship ever. And you can take that to the bank.

  • i liked the Enterprise E

  • Well if you really like the Enterprise - E why don't you marry it. Look, let's cut to the chase here. The Soveriegn Class looks like some kind of japanese import gooblee goblee mish mash of knickety gloop. Is that what you want?! How could you possibly want that over the gorgeous lines of the Enterprise Refit from TMP? I will pretend you never said this.

  • The 1701-A, is the single best space ship there has ever been. And the launch of the A, is the best part of any movie. @FACT!

    nice review.

  • enterprise D is better

  • Enterprise - D is like an elephant posing next to a sleek, powerful, Jaguar that is the Enterprise Refit from TMP.

  • Well they're both better than Enterprise E that much is certain but I grew up with D will always prefer it

  • You are dead to me.

  • you are a fossil to me.

  • I like them all. Each one is just a reflection of the design aesthetic of the decade it was made in.

Except for the Enterprise C. Unlike all of the other ones, it didn't get top-notch design effort. So yeah, that thing was a freakin' trainwreck mashup of the B and D.

  • Hay man where can i buy one of those?

  • Well....it's a little different because the new movie is from an era that's already in existence and we know what the Enterprise from that era looked like. The older movie Enterprise was in the future of the original series and to me anyway, just made sense that it was different with a refit.

I mean, I just think the new one's an ugly design, I could care less about anything else.

    It's just ugly, that's all.

  • DONT EVER make that gay voice again night...

  • you got it sir

  • Anothe awesome starship review! It's nice to see transformer reviewers branch out and look at other sci-fi toys/models.

  • People who nitpick about Star Trek stuff like the design of the ship really don't get the show. Its the name "Enterprise" that really matters.

  • Awesome Review Mike. It's a nice ship I wish it had more lights and voice clips but it's a beautiful ship

  • Are ya gonna do the E, sovereign class? that one is sexeh

  • cool, alittle more smothing on some areas and its realy cool

  • Great review Mike! I only have the NX and the E version of the Enterprise. I like both a lot. Kinda disappointed though that the E doesn't have light-up nacelles.

  • Does it transform? !!!!!!!

  • that's probably my favorite, too. but i really love the new one.

  • that would be playmates, mike. and i prefer the nx-01 enterprise!!!

  • Couple of notes.

    - With the exception of the warpspeed sound, none of the Sound Effects are from the original series movies.

    - If you hold down the bridge button long enough, it will play all the sounds/lights for you.

    - Diamond Selects re-released this toy for the Wrath of Khan line. It has a different paint scheme, the nacelle arms are fused into the hull and features dialogue and movie-acurate sounds. However, the plastic is incredibly weak. Light shines through it like a light bulb.

  • Diamond select and Art asylum are basically one in the same. The enterprise A actually is the re-release of the ncc-1701 from wrath of khan.

  • 1701-A came first because that was pure Art Asylum, while the Wrath of Khan was Diamond Select using Art Asylum's molds and banner.

The material used for the Khan version uses far less plastic than the 1701-A which, as I've stated before, makes the light effects over-illuminate the model.

  • Great review Mike.

  • Great review, Mike.

  • wicked review mike, i may look into these models on ebay they look awesome

  • are you going to do the ncc1701 E?

  • sure is

  • cool
