If you actually watch the fight and turn of the sound of the biased announcers, Perry is having a pretty easy go with Pavel. Perry is more concerned with getting his elbow pad off than anything Pavel is doing which isn't much. The linesman hauls Perry down when he sees him taking off his elbow pad because he didn't want Pavel getting hurt or the fans wrath.

Perry had some good shots to the head Ducks fans think he won, Datsyuk had more hits connected as a total mostly to the mid section cuz Perry kept pulling him down to hit his head so Datsyuk had to attack the midsection, Datsyuk grabbed Perry's jersey to keep himself up and Perry is way taller there was no reason to pull him lower he was just doing that so Datsyuk couldn't defend his face which is a cheap tactic, but Datsyuk popped out of Perry's grip and flipped him over, Datsyuk won the fight

Perry and Pavel are both great players who can play in all game situations. To all the ignorant Wings fans: Perry played all year on the PK and scored 4 shorthanded goals. Yes he's a prick to the other team but don't bash him for sucking because he's one of the best players in the NHL.

@furball411 1. not all "Wings fans" are ignorant. but real fans like HOCKEY. not just one team they like them all. i myself am a big hockey fan. the wing's are my favorite team but in no way is perry a bad player. he may be a little dirty and kinda an agitater but thats hockey. he does his thing but pavel has him beat in pretty much every area. perry is no where near as complete of a player as datsyuk is. however he is still a great player.

@Th3R34LR47 just because you can stickhandle through traffic doesn't make you the better player. Pavel is small and is not a great forechecker. Perry can dominate a game with his body the way Pavel can't. But yes, skating and hand wise Pavel is the best hands down

@Th3R34LR47 yes pavel is the better player but what I'm saying is at times he is too passive and he and perry are two different players. And Datysuk didn't even win that fight. Perry got in a lot better punches and the only reason people were screaming that Pavel kicked Perry's ass is because he is that popular. You have to call it like it actually is and Perry won the fight and is the better forechecker and hitter, but Pavel is the better overall player.
