Pacman looks the same from round 1 to round 12. Pacman has stamina, and better foot work, and is a scappy fighter, hes hard to find after the punch and has no fear of mixing up the battle.

PART1:Miguel Cotto is a beautiful technical boxer, witha great warrior heart. Unfortunately, a part of him died in the Margarito fight. To see a battered & bruised Cotto go down on one knee & give in was sign of mental undoing of a confident fighter. The mental game is very important. I don't know what percentage it should get in comparison to the physical aspect, but the mental thing is important in almost everything. I play guitar, and it's the same thing. If I have to play a challenging guitar solo, thinking about it will fuck me up.

My personal observation of Floyd is that he loves himself too much. Unfortunately, it's going to be his downfall. The only person that can beat floyd is floyd himself. At this level, there are two things to consider, Manny's speed, aggression and real power against Floyd's defensive genius, decent power, counterpunching skills and ring generalship. However, the weakness here seems to be that Manny's defense and imbalance when he throws a punch is still not quite up to par. Now Manny showed against Cotto that he can take a punch. But when Cotto got on his bicycle in the last couple, Manny was clearly getting frustrated pursuing Cotto.

The only plan that works is what you work on in the gym for 3-4 months that will work for 12 rounds.. Like for example, practicing a left hook counter.. That takes time. The only plan that works after getting hit is the one you practice in the gym..

@rikyricardo79 Pac fought De la Hoya when he was dehydrated, DLH was over 20 pounds below his normal weight. Pac fought Cotto after he was destroyed by Margarito, after his peak. Pac fought Hatton after he was destroyed by Valencio and fell off his peak.
So dont forget to look at the full picture, most ppl Pac have been fighting have either been drained or fell off their peak.

All I heard here was an excuse on how Cotto lost and seems like no respect for Pacquiao's win over Cotto. The whole video was just about Cotto losing. I heard 2 secs.of small praise for Manny winning. I was hoping this video was more of an indepth pros/cons, strategies and skills of both fighters. You know what will happen though, if Manny vs Floyd happens and Mosley beats Berto, who does Mosley fight? Clottey or the person who beat him and the same person who beat Clottey, thats Miguel Cotto. If Floyd doesnt fight Manny, no way he'll fight Mosley, probably not even Cotto, only one Floyd will fight is Berto. As for Pacquiao, he can chose to fight Marquez 3, or Mosley. As much as the hardcore boxing fans wants to see Manny fight Mosley, I think the public would rather see Pac vs JMM 3.

Hey buddha I just wanted to say I hear what you're saying about the weight classes, but some of them are necessary. For example, cruiserweight is a necessary division. Back in the day, heavyweights only weighted 185-190 pounds so there was no need for a cruiserweight divsion. But now? Those guys would get ate up if they had to fight heavy. I do agree about the smaller weight classes tho: 108, 112, 115, 118, thats redicolous. It should be 112, 118, 126, 135, 147, 160, 175, 200, heavy. that's it.

this division with the exception of paul Williams is weak. These guys are also hittable for manny, they are not that tall, whereas paul Williams at 6'1 is way too tall for manny.
winning 8 weight class puts him way ahead of henry armstrong. He already is ahead 7 out of 17 weight class for pacquiao is 41% of the weight classes. 3 out of 8 for H. armstrong is 37% of weight classes.
Yea but you can't compare, its like apples and oranges. The thing is back then you didn't have multiple title belts, there was only one world title. Armstrong was THE champ at featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight, and challenged for the middleweight title. Pac has been the true legit champ at super bantamweight, super featherweight, and jr. welterweight.
Styles make fights. Some say PBF is a bad matchup for Pac, but ill be contrarian and say he is perfect. Pac doesnt fear PBF power like Cotto. Roach taunting may lure PBF into a firefight he cant win.

this fight is easier in some ways than PBF in that he wont chase mosely, but tougher in that mosely is very stong. a prime welter mosely can beat a welter Pac, but not this mosely, though still very good.

Your making excuses for Cotto now. Cotto look pretty good in the first couple round. Manny was measuring Cottos power that time. Manny took Cottos power punches and as pacman was saying that it hurts but he can take it. Cotto came in at his best but Pacman was just too much. The old Miguel would not have beaten Pacman because his conditioning is not as good as pacman.
Pacman looks the same from round 1 to round 12. Pacman has stamina, and better foot work, and is a scappy fighter, hes hard to find after the punch and has no fear of mixing up the battle.
Miguel cant fight going backwards, and get sloppy on the ropes, Many can do all that Cotto still cant do even with Emanual Steward.

PART1:Miguel Cotto is a beautiful technical boxer, witha great warrior heart. Unfortunately, a part of him died in the Margarito fight. To see a battered & bruised Cotto go down on one knee & give in was sign of mental undoing of a confident fighter. At this level, there are two things to consider, Manny's speed, aggression and real power against Floyd's defensive genius, decent power, counterpunching skills and ring generalship. However, the weakness here seems to be that Manny's defense and imbalance when he throws a punch is still not quite up to par. Now Manny showed against Cotto that he can take a punch. But when Cotto got on his bicycle in the last couple, Manny was clearly getting frustrated pursuing Cotto.

The only plan that works is what you work on in the gym for 3-4 months that will work for 12 rounds.. Like for example, practicing a left hook counter.. That takes time. The only plan that works after getting hit is the one you practice in the gym..

I'm a huge Pacman fan just because he come out there and fight and get my money's worth. Unlike Mayweather who hits and run. With MW having the height advantage and that weird stance I think it will be very difficult for Pacman to hit him and we sao that with delahoya vs Mayweather. It will definitely be a good fight but dont you rather see him fight someone who goes out there and fight rather than someone who runs in circle?

All I heard here was an excuse on how Cotto lost and seems like no respect for Pacquiao's win over Cotto. The whole video was just about Cotto losing. I heard 2 secs.of small praise for Manny winning. I was hoping this video was more of an indepth pros/cons, strategies and skills of both fighters. That's why the fight ended in a way no one expected.

You know what will happen though, if Manny vs Floyd happens and Mosley beats Berto, who does Mosley fight? Clottey or the person who beat him and the same person who beat Clottey, thats Miguel Cotto. If Floyd doesnt fight Manny, no way he'll fight Mosley, probably not even Cotto, only one Floyd will fight is Berto. As for Pacquiao, he can chose to fight Marquez 3, or Mosley. As much as the hardcore boxing fans wants to see Manny fight Mosley, I think the public would rather see Pac vs JMM 3.

If Mayweather wants a 60/40 split Arum, Roach and Manny should give it to him if they are confident enough that they will win. Because even if PacMan gets only 40%, the prestige of defeating PBF to cap off his career would be enough and anyways 40% of a 60-100 (depending on the source) million dollar purse is an improvement over any other fight available. Give money mayweather the money and if camp Manny is so confident take the win and the prestige. Thoughts?

now we can finally start answering the question you posted a while back. betting odds arleady favor pac but mayweather will be the quickest craftiest opponent he's ever faced. on the other hand pac's the most aggressive, quickest, powerful, and mobile guys may's faced. everything about the fight screams entertaining, from the trashtalk b/t may and roach,to the training montages, to the villain vs. the hero, to the style matchups in the ring. i can't wait.

Hey buddha I just wanted to say I hear what you're saying about the weight classes, but some of them are necessary. For example, cruiserweight is a necessary division. Back in the day, heavyweights only weighted 185-190 pounds so there was no need for a cruiserweight divsion. But now? Those guys would get ate up if they had to fight heavy. I do agree about the smaller weight classes tho: 108, 112, 115, 118, thats redicolous. It should be 112, 118, 126, 135, 147, 160, 175, 200, heavy. that's it.

Yea but you can't compare, its like apples and oranges. The thing is back then you didn't have multiple title belts, there was only one world title. Armstrong was THE champ at featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight, and challenged for the middleweight title. Pac has been the true legit champ at super bantamweight, super featherweight, and jr. welterweight.

1. mayweather (for p4p supremacy)
Styles make fights. Some say PBF is a bad matchup for Pac, but ill be contrarian and say he is perfect. Pac doesnt fear PBF power like Cotto. Roach taunting may lure PBF into a firefight he cant win.
2. mosely
this fight is easier in some ways than PBF in that he wont chase mosely, but tougher in that mosely is very stong. a prime welter mosely can beat a welter Pac, but not this mosely, though still very good.

Floyd has a weak chin? Mayweather's first fight against Luis Castillo, and his fights against Jesus Chavez and Hatton. Many times Floyd did not run and he outpunch these fighters. Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard would move alot, this is not running, this is fighting smart. The styles of Ali, Leonard and Mayweather can beat Pacquiao's style of fighting.The purpose of boxing is to hit and not get hit. Floyd can match Pacquiao in speed. Your making excuses for Cotto now. Cotto look pretty good in the first couple round. Manny was measuring Cottos power that time. Manny took Cottos power punches and as pacman was saying that it hurts but he can take it. Cotto came in at his best but Pacman was just too much. As all those other boxers that fought Pacman they all have thesame comment at the end the speed was just too much. Miguel was knocked down in the 3rd and 4th because of mannys power not because of Cottos mental state.

Pacquiao is awsome but but flloyd is boxing genious, a once in a generation talent. Both fighers are very fast so speed is a wash. Floyd is going to be bigger and stronger. He has the reach advantage and skill advantage. His defesne is superior to any fighter in boxing. .
